I have nothing nad to say about our experience at Brothers Restaurant. Our server Terry K was very courteous and knowledgeable... and offered suggestions based on our likes. Our food came out in large portions and hot and fresh. Our plates were delicious andaesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere and air of the whole place was very friendly and inviting. Read more

Well prepared dishes. Varied menu. Good salad bar with a few unique items such as pimento cheese and Watergate salad. My husband... loved his grill trout but it wasn't very big (full portion). The salad and soup bar helped fill him up(additional $3.99 withentree). My blog was filled with bacon and had the best thick sliced fried green tomato slice I've ever tasted. The reason Ionly gave 4 stars is their appetizers seemed overpriced. $10 for fried green tomatoes and pickles? Not sure how many you get butthat's same price as some of their sandwiches. It's just the 2 of us. Give us smaller appetizer portions and don't charge asmuch. Read more

I can't speak to the regular service, but our banquet experience was highly disappointing. As someone who spent many years as a... server, I give a lot of grace - especially when it is a large group (in this case, 60 people with 3-4 servers). It is nearlyimpossible with only a few servers to keep 60 drinks refilled and endless bread for everyone, and yes, food will take a while. However, what is disappointing was the lack of attention to detail and subsequent disinterest in making it right. Going in 7months pregnant, I was fairly hungry but waited until an hour into being seated before I asked for bread to be brought to thetable. It took asking 3 servers over the next 45 minutes before getting bread, and that was after most of the other guestsreceived their food. By that time, I was pretty sick and miserable. My plate came out about 30-40 minutes after they startedserving other guests in our party (with the bread served a few minutes later), and I was sick enough by that point that Icouldn't eat my meal. They can't help this pregnant girl gets sick quickly without food, and I ate a granola bar before goingin with the anticipation of a wait. The problem was that we had to ask so many times just for bread during the 90-minute waitfor food, and when it was forgotten (then later when I couldn't eat the meal and declined a takeout box) there was never anyapology or question about why the food was untouched. A simple apology for the delay would have gone a long way, but instead Ileft miserable and not the least bit interested in returning. Read more
