First time dining here and it was such a cozy spot. The staff was nice, food was great and hot. Also, they served fresh bread... and that was a nice touch. One other thing I really enjoyed was the fire place that was on during dinner! We will definitely beback. Read more

Arrived to find a fan on the porch missing a blade that had apparently been previously "repaired" with duct tape missing a blade... and swinging back and forth as it operated (not safe). There was no room to wait inside so we stepped out to the porch to wait(which reaked of cat urine) our wait was only about 15 minutes. Once seated, we waited an additional 15 minutes in which we satbeing completely ignored while the tables around us all received drinks and food. We were never even greeted by a server, atall. I found the smell of the place to be a bit musty, fine if I was touring an old building but not what you would expect of anItalian restaurant. As we waited I noticed one waitress cleaning a very messy table by dumping all the crumbs and such from thetable cloth onto the table top then flipping the cloth over and placing it on the dirty table. We then felt our table cloth andcould feel crumbs under the cloth. We decided to leave and as we left I stopped and politely informed the girls up front (one ofwhich sat us) that we have not even been offered drinks. They did seem surprised but honestly I'm not sure they even knew whatto do. Building was in need of some simple safety maintenance, several of unappetizing smells, place was not clean, staff wasinattentive and had no clue what was going on. Read more

We have been wanting to try Milano II and finally made a reservation for Friday evening on September 16, 2022. Upon entering we... were quickly seated. We immediately noticed the charm of this restaurant, very cozy and intimate. Seating areas were dividedinto the separate rooms of what once someone?s residence. The food was good. It was the service that was at issue. After beingseated, we sat and waited. And waited. Although the owner kept looking over at us and several of the wait staff walked by usseveral times, no one ever came by the table with even the basics. No water, no drinks, no bread loaf. After about 10 minutes, the owner approached and said he was sorry but he forgot to tell his staff to wait on us. WHAT? When a server arrived, herepeated the excuse that he wasn?t told we needed to be waited on. WHAT? I have never been anywhere that staff had to be told towait on customers seated at a table with menus in their section. At the time, the restaurant had only been open a half an hourand there were no more than 2 to 4 other tables occupied that we could see. They claim to have fully stocked bar, but as I kepttrying to order a name brand rum, I kept being told it wasn?t available. He just kept saying ?so, you just want a rum and coke??Others that slowly began to fill the restaurant were seated and many seemed to be regulars as the owner and staff seemed veryfamiliar with them. They were brought bread loafs fairly quickly. We got ours as an afterthought after quite some time. Weweren?t told about any specials, just ?are you ready to order?? When our food arrived, it was delivered and the server left. Wehad to wave down the owner to bring us some cheese to be sprinkled on our meals. Other customers were asked immediately uponbeing served. After our meal, the server arrived at our table with our check and only again, as an afterthought, meekly asked ifwe wanted desert. As we left, my wife commented to me on how it seemed that he, our server, obviously Read more

Loved the food and the atmosphere. Three tortellini appetizer read delicious. I had the lasagna. It and a slightly different... flavor than expected, but I thought it was one of the best I have had. The old house is charming and the wait staff wasattentive, but not hovering. We made reservations at 6 on a Thursday and I'm glad we did. Read more

Had an awesome meal at Milano II & Jack?s place tonight?simply fantastic. Sat at the bar and Sam (who I later found out is the... owners son) who got me set up with a beer and some hot baked bread. I started off with some Bruschetta (very good) and orderedthe blackened grouper topped with shrimp and a creamy sundried pesto sauce with some pasta and roasted red potatoes. This dishis incredible?some of the best fish I?ve had in a very long time. The seasoning used to blacken the grouper wasn?t overpoweringand really complimented the creamy pesto sauce. Sam was a great host and I really enjoyed our conversation along with meetinghis Dad and the owner Jack. Been a long time since I visited this spot but I will be back to enjoy some other dishes here. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. I had the pesto linguine with shrimp. Had to add some parmesan to add a little... flavor but once I did I enjoyed it. I reserved a table so I don't know how long the wait would be if you walked in. Read more
