Amazing! Went for the first time today, ordered 24 cannolis - 3 each of the 8 flavors offered. They are amazing! A nice size so... you can try a couple different flavors without much guilt. Very friendly owner and sister-helper. Order is made while you wait,and freezing does really keep them nice- wasn't soggy at all. Definitely going back! Let me tell you something - I lived in NJ for 7 years, during which time I also worked in NYC. I have eaten some of the best... cannolis in America, including Carlo's Bakery ("The Cake Boss") in Hoboken, NJ. The cannolis I experienced today at TonyCannoli are SECOND TO NONE! I mean, FUHGETTABOUTIT! They are unique - the only cannolis I've ever seen with none of thecharacteristic "bubbles" in the shell. Why does this matter? Because with a smooth shell, you get this wonderfully consistentcrunch and even flavor on the palate with every bite. And the creamy filling? Wow...I mean, to DIE FOR! Delightfully balancedand complex, not too sweet. Sinfully delicious! If this place were in Chicago, there would be a line around the block daily! This place is the ultimate local gem. Absolutely love their variety! I got the lemon, pistachio, siciliana, and peppermint... chocolate. All of them are light, crunchy with a smooth ricotta innard. They change out their seasonal flavors all the timewhich makes going back all the time fun and surprising. They are super nice and even have cake, cookies, and cannoli bites!Always great quality and love that they are located in the heart of downtown Mundelein. ?? Read more
I discovered this cozy lil venue on accident when I tried a restaurant across the street for the first time. Saw it on Google... maps and found out it was averaging 4.9 ?s so I decided to pop in to see if it lives up to the hype........indeed it does! Tonythe owner is a down to earth & very nice young gentleman who works hard to create high quality treats for thepublic. Reasonable prices and there are currently 8 different cannoli flavors on the menu so I went with 1 of each for startersand an original cannoli shake. The shake was delicious and the cannolis are heavenly. I always try my best to support localbusinesses and I'll definitely return for more goodies soon. What a fun tiny place! They offer delicious traditional cannoli as well as several specialty flavors, cannoli cake, cannoli... bites, cannoli shakes and more. The woman working the counter was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and personable. We willdefinitely be back! Read more
