This is rated 3 stars but I won't go so far as to say I'm happy or unhappy. This was my first visit. It's just that I rate... this store average. There wasn't a large selection of meat behind the deli counter, although they did have blood sausage that Ibought but have yet to try. They didn't have any fresh polish sausage, which seems strange to me. That's like going to a burgerjoint and finding out they don't sell burgers. Maybe I caught them on a bad day when they were sold out, but it was a Fridayafternoon and I can't imagine them not having fresh polish. The place was clean, but staff not overly friendly; not rude, justnot very welcoming. I do recommend their frozen pierogies; they are very good. I've been to larger stores in the city in thePolish neighborhoods, but they are further from my home, so I'm hoping the blood sausage is good. UPDATE: The blood sausage isgood and is authentic. Great food, terrible service! I've stopped going to your store due to less then adequate customer service, no body greets you,... the women behind the counter talk among themselves and don't even acknowledge your presence. This is Not a one time thing - I've been going sporadically over last 5 years, it's always the same, rude, dismissive, or bored look. Sometimes I don't evenget a verbal response from your employees, I asked for catering menu, she took it handed it to me not a word, and walkedoff. Only one lady helped me with smile and I wish I got her name, everyone else just doesn't want to be there and definitelydoesn't want to be bothered, even though I am one of few customers , sometimes the ONLY customer around. I love this deli! The have the best smoked polish sausages I've ever tasted. The loin bacon and the pork tenderloin, Italian... and chicken headcheeses are delicacies that should not be missed. That is why I drive from Milwaukee to Mundelein almost everymonth! Read more
Small local Polish store with just the basics on their shelves but good variety behind their deli counter. I wish they had more... to choose from. Staff is friendly but not very talkative. Prices are appropriate. Read more
