Reviews for LJ Beaners Bakery and Cafe in Moyock, NC
The coffee was surprisingly good, and they had non dairy options. The cashier recommended their oat milk alternative & it was... delicious. I will definitely get coffee from here every time we're out in Moyock. My pastry was sub par.... hence only 4 not 5stars. It looked amazing, but was remarkably disappointing. Way too much sugar & more fluff than flour. It just looked so good, like French bakery good, but no. It was a complete let down Read more
Cute little bakery and breakfast/lunch joint just off the main drag. We stopped in for coffee and a bite on the way back home... from the outer banks?this is a way better choice than the fast food joints lining the highway!! The biscuits were crumbly anddelicious and the coffee was great. Read more
Normally, I would be all about this place. The baked goods are excellent. The coffees are wonderful and have unique seasonal... flavors. But don't even think you're going to do an online order and get it quickly. Expect your online prepaid order to beput at the back of the line. In house orders are priority. Even when you select ASAP, you're going to wait 30 minutes. Theonly way to know this is to experience it. Apparently they are switching to a new system in a few weeks but in the interim,it's quicker by 20 minutes to just go inside. Then you know you won't get pushed back. I even waited in line and 'checked in',yet still watched orders placed after mine get made first. Edit: This was not about the quality of the food or the product. Yes, I was offered a refund, but I declined it. Because, the product was not the problem! The problem was the online orderingdid not, at the time it was placed, tell me it would be delayed. The problem was I felt shunned because I did an online order, that my order wasn't as important as the walk in orders. I did an online order in hopes of skipping the long line because Iknew you would be busy and I enjoy your coffee and food. The whole point of ordering ahead via the online system is that theproduct be ready or AT LEAST in process when I got there. It was not. Because you were so busy, I even got in the line andadvised the staff I had an online order placed and was there hoping it would trigger my order to be started. Based on whatyou're stating, online ordering doesn't actually help. I have ordered the same things before; 2 lattes, 1 baked good, 1 plainbagel and 1 everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. And even as busy as you normally are, I have never waited more than 15minutes. However, you seem quite pleased my order was filled 28 minutes after it was placed. The problem is I ordered ahead inattempt to not wait for my order to be completed last because 'it was just an online order and you can Read more

Great coffee and amazing pastries! So many choices. This was a great stop on our way home north. We will definitely be... back! One recommendation I would make though is to have a baby changing table installed. Read more
The store was clean, well lit, and organized. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese... biscuit and a vanilla cupcake. Both were delicious and fresh! The order arrived quickly as well. I also had a vanilla steamerwhich was also good. No complaints from me. I?d stop again if I was in the area. Read more
Biscuits and gravy were soooooo good. Iced caramel macchiato was amazing as well. My son got a chocolate chip peanut butter... cookie bigger than his head that he said was really good too. Bacon egg and cheese biscuit was not the best because the egg wasover cooked but they were VERY busy when I went so I?m not blaming them. First time trying since they opened and will definitelybe back. Read more
