Ordered chicken tikka masala, bread and biryani. Great food. We cleaned up everything. They have many tables on the Castro... street open air. It’s a pleasant dining experience. Read more
It took a little longer to get set up apparently as we had arrived a little before 11:30 but they didn't open until 11:45... am... Service improved dramatically once we got seated and the staff started to get into the flow. They were clearly busyleading into the opening but it was well worth it as the food was excellent. The spice level was decent, given that they aretrying to cater to a wide palate range, and the dishes were all cooked well. The naan was fresh and excellent, but don'tforget to ask for the dosa!! Given the lack of good Indian buffets in the area, this restaurant is a solid choice!! Read more
Sunday buffet Review : Many options to choose from. I think non vegetarian food has more options than vegetarians. Ambience is... okay(gets crowded). Dosa counter is a nice addition to the menu (be sure to ask for less butter/oil if you are healthconscious; the quantity being added is insane on the dosa ) In general 2 appetizers +1 chat for vegetarians Main course has 2varieties of rice (kinda plain and veg Biriyani types ) 3-4 curry choices (Paneer Bhurji , mixed vegetables, dal, kofta) tastedgood Sweets : 3 choices , did not like carrot halwa , it was not cooked properly the other two options were amazing You do geta choice of drink (Lassi/Tea/coffee etc) on weekends Overall a decent place Read more
Their lunch buffet is awesome. It’s around 20 dollars on weekdays and includes at least 15 or so dishes. The meat dishes are... halal and the buffet also includes great beverages like chhaans (spiced buttermilk) and chai. They also offer different types ofnaan. The buffet itself includes some really good dishes such as chicken tikka masala, garlic chicken, chicken roast and goatcurry, chicken biryani, veg biryani, chholey, Daal tadka, pav bhaaji, chaat, paneer, veg kebabs, pakora, salads, mix veg and alot of other dishes. The desserts were excellent too and included some delicious gulab jaamun, saffron kheer and halwa. This isa really good option and service is quick and friendly! Read more

Mantra is my go-to Indian restaurant and I have been eating here from a few years now. Perfect place to celebrate birthdays and... if you let them know, they make it speacial. Indian food here is way superior to tons of other Indian restaurants at El Camino.I would highly recommend trying this!! Read more
Good environment. Love the GOAT CURRY. I won't say it is very authentic but still pretty good. I was hoping for a buffet. But... they only do buffet on special occasions (Christmas, new year, etc.) Read more
We went on a Friday for buffet. We were so full to try all the items they have placed. We started with salad and then had fried... paneer (which is little dry ), fried shrimp and cheese balls. Fried shrimp was so good with Chaat masala and they were addictivetoo. Cheese balls were also good. Tandoori chicken texture was perfect but it lacked spices. Achari chicken was awesome with allthe flavors. Friend tried Pani Puri and she liked it. They asked us which naan we wanted(butter or plain) and brought them toour table freshly made. Mutton biryani was good, but I felt rice didn't cook enough (we eat the rice little soft). Lamb currywas good, but too thin gravy. Butter chicken also lacks some flavors. Didn't try butter chicken, chicken curry, chana masala, pumpkin curry( by looking at it, I thought it was opo), vegetable biryani and bagara baigan. Gajar ka Halwa was good withperfect sweet and pistachio and cashews. Gulab Jamun was too sweet. Rasamalai was awesome. The service was so good that wheneverwe leave the used plate, they quickly came removed it. They also served tea. After sometime they replaced fried paneer withSamosa. Read more
