I had dined here once several years ago & eagerly accepted the invite from a friend to go again. We arrived about 10 minutes... before our reservation time & were seated immediately. Our server was friendly & attentive. We both ordered salmon entrees. Ihad the Salmon Oscar with a spinach side. The salmon was cooked perfectly & the dish was delicious. The spinach side wasinteresting. It tasted mostly of barbecue sauce & cheese. It wasn't bad, but it was a little too sweet for my taste. My friendwas thrilled with her salmon & accompanying baked sweet potato. We both selected desserts to go. I didn't hear about hers, butmy Maker's Mark bread pudding was quite tasty. Food, amazing! Service, even better! Definitely recommend calling the day before at least for reservations, they book up fast.... We got perfectly cooked steaks, delicious sides and AMAZING dessert. This one of my all time top five places I love to eat at. Their selections from appetizers, main course to desserts are to die... for. The Service is spot on. When you have both owners with a true culinary back ground (Husband and Wife) husband ExecutiveChef Degree and Wife with culinary degree in the art of desserts/sweets. You absolutely can not go wrong. If you do fill upprior to dessert, make sure you take a dessert or two home for later they will not disappoint! Menu was nothing short of amazing! It seems almost anything someone could want was on that menu! How IS that possible?!? Also... the wait staff were awesome! And to think this restaurant is just up the mountain! What a treat for anyone that lives close toMountain City! This place was highly recommend and the expectations not only were met but exceeded!!! Very friendly and attentive staff. Can?t... stress enough, make sure to save room for dessert even if you don?t usually eat dessert!!! I ordered the popular chicken ranchoand husband got country fried steak. Both came with two sides. We both got side salad that came on cold plates with crisp saladand homemade dressings (thousand island & blue cheese). Sending side for both of us was mashed potatoes. Again real andhomemade delicious! Plus I couldn?t resist the steamed asparagus cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Food came out hot! Then decision on dessert. So many mouth watering choices. He got browner cheese cheese cake and I got the Bailey?s brownietruffle. Both were not from this planet, they were out of this world good!!! Atmosphere was orderly and very quaint.
