You have to go to Italy for better. The homemade noodles melt in your mouth. The lasagna was the best I have had since Florence.... We discovered a true gem out in Johnson County. La Cucina, a Matteo family restaurant by reservation only. Authentic Italianfood made by hand. Home-made pasta, ciabatta, and desserts. Small, only 24 seats. Very small Italian restaurant with a nice menu selection. If you want wine or other such beverage it is BYOB with a charge for a... cup for your wine. Be sure to make reservations so you are sure to get a seat. They are open Thursday - Saturday 5 to 8 andSunday for Lunch meals. The service was good for our group of 6. No complaints about the meals. The restaurant is located about50 minutes from Boone NC and Johnson City TN where our groups came from. We plan to return in October when the leaves change asthe drive there should be colorful.
