I had a shrimp Poboy it was very tasty. It had a spicy but great taste to it. I'm not sure if it was the sauce or the shrimp but... it was good and the fries had a homemade taste to them. The Bonus was the collard greens they wasn't tuff or bitter they wasflavored just right. Everyone can't cook collard greens and I have no complaints. Thanks for a lovely dinner. Read more
This place is way to much Hype. The food is overpriced and the selection is a bit limited. I understand this is a "Funky"... restaurant, but overall the food itself is just not that great. Overall the food is just average with a few differentingredients. This is a definite pass in the future for a $35 per person dining experience. Read more

Had an amazing birthday luncheon with friends at this trendy place. Diverse menu and great veg options to choose from. I had the... farro bowl and it was delectable. They have a large patio space, we preferred to be seated outside to inside. The service waswarm and cordial. The only suggestion would be that they could work more on their cocktail menu. Read more
Birmingham is a foodie town and there are many good choices, but rarely does a restaurant meal inspire us to want to recreate... the meal at home. Porch was an exception. In our first visit we ordered oko pancake and truffled farro bowl. Being an Asian I amquite familiar with savory Asian pancakes, and oko pancake tasted very authentic - crispy and tender, spiciness to the point andnot overpowering. Now the truffled farro bowl was something we've never tried. We were intrigued by the name and - was it a goodchoice! Truffle oil (I am guessing white truffle oil?) paired really well with the sourness of the balsamic, sweetness of thebeets, nuttiness of the farro, and creaminess of the goat cheese. We liked it so much that we went to buy grocery to try to makeit at home. We will come back again. Read more

'Date Night' at Porch Friday night - our first trip. We started with drinks - I got the Margarita 'on the rocks' and it was... delish. She got a Moscow Mule-like drink and did not share a drop. I made a great choice with the blackened catfish which comeswith everything. She got this giant cheeseburger loaded with bacon and a fried egg on top and a side of fries. Of course I gotto help finish it off so I needed another Margo. The Good : Friendly service, great food and delicious drinks. Excellent viewand out for under a $$$ hundred . The Bad : Pretty muggy so dine inside until October - or go naked. 2nd trip to Porch on Fridayevening with a special guest and it was great. Chicken skewers were delish and really good service from Matt. Very enjoyableplace to go and a bargain. 3rd trip to Porch. We had a really nice waitress and great food. Wow ! Your Bread Pudding was almosta shot across the bow at Tory McPhail ( Head Chef,Commander's Palace.
