After driving across the country.. this is by far the worst smelling bathroom. After reading a sign that said they check the... bathrooms every 30 minutes to ensure ?they are always ready?, I told the guy behind the counter that the bathroom REEKED ofurine. What a joke. In and out quickly. The store was clean and the staff was friendly. Be careful when you're approaching from highway 44, alot of... large trucks entering the roadway from the Travel America store next door. Plenty of grass to walk your furry friends withouthaving to dodge large trucks. Read more
During the storms last night my wife and our children had to pull in to this store for shelter due to a tornadoe warning. My... wife got out of the car and got the kids as the tornado sirens were going off. The attendant at this store actually locked thedoors, and told my family to go. She pointed to a sign that stated their policy was to Lock doors during a tornado warning.Fortunately my family was able to go one block to Casey?s, where the workers actually helped get the kids inside and gave thempizza and cookies while they waited out the storm. Not what it used to be with the original crew when this placed opened about 10 years ago. If anything It's a shadow of its... former self. The District Manager didn't do this place any favors replacing the one who helped open this place. The unique thingthat made this place a success was the staff. Majority were residents in and around the Mt. Vernon MO area. Customers felt theywere appreciated more and it truly was a place where most everyone knew your name. Not so much any more. Corporate Office is toblame for some of this. Read more
