My fiancé and I had a great experience here after stopping off from the road on our way home from out of state. We... specifically waited until getting to Mt Vernon because we believed there would be more food options. We stopped in two otherrestaurants prior to coming into Culver?s. One of which no one ever came to the hostess counter to greet or seat us (nor couldwe find anybody to do that by walking around) and a second one in which we were greeted (grumpily) by one person whoimmediately said they did not have staff for table service and then proceeded to bad talk drive thru customers in front of us.We walked out of both. We understand that the service industry has taken a hit and are happy to be patient with people doingtheir best. What we don?t understand, is a failure for businesses to keep their customers informed and direct them to solutionsinstead of telling people the problems. We certainly don?t understand bad mouthing paying customers to other (potential) payingcustomers. When we got to Culver?s, we were skeptical because there was quite a line. However, we witnessed the four employeesthat were there talking about what the immediate coverage issue was and solve for it. They were kind to each other, appropriatewith their conversation which was in ear shot of waiting customers and shifted positions so that another register opened gettingpeople out of line just standing and waiting and then shifted back to the back room to assist the cook. Once the line and foodwas under control we even had someone come out from behind the counter and check on all the tables. Friendly Staff, took a little bit to get out order. Food and ice cream was great.
Wont be back.. food was not that good. The burger was burnt fries were plain had to add salt for any flavor. Only gave it 2... stars because the shake was pretty good Read more
I was very disappointed in this specific visit. We ordered online and promptly parked in the curbside parking and after 30... minutes of sitting in the vehicle I went inside to inquire about it and it had been sitting up there the whole time. The workersaid they looked outside and didn't see us even though we had been there so long. I feel that they should have looked againafter a few minutes. While hubby is was in surgery at the hospital ( Good Samaritan Hospital) in Mt. Vernon, Illinois , I went through the drive-thru... and ordered the Great Alaskan Cod Fillet with fries and Pepsi. I went back to the hospital to eat my food. The fish was cookedto fast and it wasn?t done. I ended up throwing it away and eating only fries and drinking my Pepsi. The cook rushed my order,this was right when opening and there wasn?t a lunch crowd yet. There was no reason my food was half done. I couldn?t take thefood back nor go back. That had to be the best cheeseburger I've had compared to others! Delicious meat, good bun, fresh dressed items. The crinkle... fries were delicious. Tried the custard dish and it was so tasty. Got my money's worth! Read more
Just okay, kind of slow, no paper towels in the restroom. Order was correct and food was hot, cashier was friendly.
I have been to many Culver?s. Culver?s is my favorite fast food burger place. They are always consistent and have good food.... This location the food was okay but the service was horrible. They were very slow. There was a bearded man standing in frontof the food rack barking orders at the workers. I?d assume a manager. I can see why service was bad because there definitelywas not a team effort. I was only there a short while and I knew that I would not want to work there. He made a comment thathe wish a bus full would come in right now. I chuckled to myself because he could not manage the couple people that were therein line. Workers seemed very friend and food was good. I would have given less stars but food was good. Just need some newleaders. Read more
