I was pleasantly surprised and delighted by my first dining experience at Mavi's today. The staff was friendly and courteous.... The food was simply outstanding. My wife enjoyed the shrimp kebab and I had the falafel platter, both prepared to perfection.The lemon chicken orzo soup was fabulous. We will definitely be returning to this fine establishment. Went here for dinner for the first time with my fiancé. Was not aware of limited tables inside and no wine/liquor available.... The food was delicious though. Not what we were expecting to find in this corner of Long Island! A quaint and family-friendly restaurant, Mavi Grill serves... delicious concoctions of both meat and vegetables, both prepared and served in an assortment of ways (over three differentpreparations of lamb!). The service is a bit slow but courteous and friendly, and the food (a Turkish/ Mediterranean medley) isauthentic, with even sumac (that tart and fantastic spice) sprinkled on the salad.
