What a comfortable, laid back restaurant. Great menu with lots of different pub style items and a good local beer list.... Milkshakes and tater tots were delicious! Pizza, burgers are average. Heard good things so wanted to check it out. Went for lunch. The server/bartender was great. The Buffalo pizza was not bad but... rarely have I had a Buffalo pizza with tomato sauce instead of Buffalo sauce. Turkey sandwich barely had any Turkey on it. Decided to try a new place for burgers while back in the Charleston area for vacation. Ended up here for dinner one night and... definitely not disappointed. Sometimes it's hard to find clean restaurants in the area due to heavy beach traffic, but thisplace was clean, had phenomenal service, and delicious burgers and food and cocktails. Ordered an chicken salad and the chicken was burnt to the point it was unedible. Staff was so slow I was unable to get service... related to the salad until everyone else in the party was done with their meal. It was 7:30 on a Monday There were only 4 otherpeople in the restaurant. Waiter was pleasant but kept pushing alcohol with every interaction. I drink but not with every meal. I ask for water that's what I want. Read more
Great food! Totally impressed with their wings. And their milkshakes were quite a wonderful experience! Nice and courteous staff... and atmosphere! They do have a kids menu, it just isn't printed. Definitely family friends! Read more

Chef Jason is the best addition to Woodward Tavern!! We came in again to celebrate our friends birthday and honestly, between... our awesome server and Chef coming out to bring food and check on us...it really made the night special.
