Reviews for Benny Palmetto's, Pizza in Mt Pleasant, SC

We enjoyed Benny's a lot for the first few years it was open, driving from the far side of Mount Pleasant to get their pizza.... However, for the last few years, both service and quality have absolutely fallen off. Now, you're lucky if even one slice of thepizza hasn't had a giant bubble push the toppings aside, to receive a thank you at purchase, or have enough sauce and cheese toconsider it pizza. After three very disappointing visits in a row, we will be skipping Benny's for the next year or more. Ifthey're still in business later, maybe we'll try them again. Read more

First and foremost, let me state that I never write negative reviews and would never do so for any business unless I was treated... as this company treated me. To make a long story short, the gentleman who rang my girlfriend and I up charged us twice. Thereason this happened was because we decided to add drinks and were planning on paying for them separately, but the guy behindthe counter stated the first charge hadn't gone through yet, so he went ahead and charged it a second time with a tip. The nextday, I looked at my credit card statement and realized he had charged me twice. So I called the restaurant and explained thesituation while also sending over a copy of my credit card statement (twice) showing the charges. After two weeks of trying toget this resolved with the GM and her never getting back to me like she said she would multiple times, she finally told me therewas nothing she could do for me. I told her that the company clearly charged me twice and that she was mistaken, as evidencedby my credit card statement, and she basically told me again, sorry about my luck, and there was nothing she would do to correctthe mistake or even attempt to make it right. Basically, she forced me to go through the hassle of contacting my bank toinitiate a chargeback, which I did. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I used to enjoy going to this place, even though thepizza is just average, but now that I know they don't right their wrongs, I'm going elsewhere. It is very disappointing, andthere are too many honest restaurants out there to settle for this type of customer service. Read more

I cannot believe what I encountered tonight? the young male was making all of the pizza, boxing, greeting with a smile, cashing... out everyone by himself. And the other two were judging him about the time he was taking, with no help, with so much judgement Icouldn?t even stand it. I wish I could explain it in words. If those are managers at your store, shame on you. It was sad towatch. Today is 9/4. Make some changes or I will not be back or neither will my people born and raised in this town. Read more

This pizza was definitely not NY Style. Yeah, slices were big but that doesn?t make it NY style even NJ style. Dry, no flavor,... EXPENSIVE!! $17.00 for two slices and a power aide. I knew when I moved from here how hard it would be to find good, non-chainpizza but this place is not it. 1.5/5 stars. Horrible. Read more

I wish I had not eat that. This had been our regular pizza place for a few years but I will never return. Five young kids... standing around looking miserable while the 6th looked like she would bite our head off if we asked the wrong question. Thepizza was never great but quick and filling for $5. But now it's more expensive and tastes even more like cardboard. My guess isthey don't pay enough to get people who care. The food reflects that. Read more

Ordered delivery and was dropped off from Uber with no issue. Ordered three different slices because it was my first time trying... them. Was not a fan of any of the three. Picture doesn?t really show how dry and tasteless they were. Lot of people seem to likefrom the reviews. Maybe I got unlucky on my order but I will not be trying again any time soon. Read more

A small pizza restaurant that serves up a big slice of pizza! There is nothing fancy here, you order at the counter and either... take out your pizza or enjoy it at one of six or seven booths or tables. I thought the pizza was tasty and enjoyed it's thincrust. Read more

I helped build some of the walls inside this place and never got the chance to eat here but I did stop by on my way to work and... grab the biggest slice of pepperoni pizza I've ever seen. And no lie the crust was perfect because it wasn't thick and it wasn'ttoo thin. Everyone was being very safe and covid-friendly and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone because fivebucks will get you a slice of pizza and it's really good. there are a couple good restaurants in this location but if you'refeeling something and the pizza food then this is your place to go there is no inside seating so everything is outside but it'sa definitely low country food place. thank you guys I'll be by again to eat another Pizza Read more
