Menu for Cave Ridge Vineyard in Mt Jackson, VA

Hey Family!! October 2nd , we started Virginia wine month with a bang!! I took a group of 14 ladies to shenandoah for a relaxing... day of wines and grapes stomping. We ended up at Cave ridge Vineyards, besides the weather being gloomy and raining on and offit didn't stop us from having a fabulous day. We were welcome by Luna and Graig with glasses ???? of Rosè (isn't this a viptreatment?) We were taken to our tables that beautiful set up to our surprise with charcuterie board (beautiful made by the wayby Megan Phillips ) . We went through a guided tasting of over 10 wines. The ladies learned so much about the grapes, the storybehind cave ridge, process of aging and with the food pairing. We ended with a port style that was paired with a dark chocolateand that was definitely everyone's favorite ????, who doesn't like chocolate and wine? Me, ???? ???? .... Megan and the crewwere fabulous as always and went beyond custom service to make everyone feel comfortable. The cherry on top we had our ownstomping on grapes experience even though it was cold and rainy ??. It was a first time for a few ladies for grapes stompingand first winery in VIRGINIA and Cave ridge Vineyards has set up the expectations pretty high . Been to this vineyard twice now. They are very welcoming, have a great atmosphere, and a decent selection for their charcuterie... board. The first time we went, the charcuterie board was in a prepackaged box, but they're now doing handmade ones. The wine isdelicious and I highly recommend visiting this place. Also, for all the ladies who love taking pictures, they have a nice littlephoto op spot, as seen in the pictures. Read more

My friends and I came to Cave Ridge as part of a wine trail for a bachelorette party. This was the third winery on our itinerary... and we decided not to go to the fourth because of how great the atmosphere was at this vineyard. Unfortunately when we left atclosing our car broke down. The staff was so hospitable and helpful, providing phone numbers for towing services and evenoffering to take us home. They went above and beyond and didn?t make us feel like a burden. This alone deserves a five starreview for the best staff at any Vineyard in the area. Additionally the wine was the best that we had on our trip and the cheeseboards looked amazing. Definitely recommend the Cabernet Franc If you are a red drinker and summer splash if you prefer white.We will always be so appreciative of our friends at Cave Ridge and for helping us learn how to make lemonade out of lemons. :) Read more

The rating represents the quality of the wine. Their reds are less than desirable and their white wines were little more... tolerable. Rebecca was informative and helpful but customer service only goes so far. I would recommend trying the sparklingsampler and skip everything else. The premade wine slushies are solid on a hot day. There are several different venues on theproperty: a traditional indoors tasting room, a covered pavilion, patio, and plastic igloos for cooler weather. Read more
