Great restaurant for a family meal. The atmosphere is laid back and the prices are reasonable. The bar is separate from the... dining area so don't worry about it being too noisy. The service was fast (even from the bar) and they even have a fairlysizeable outdoor eating area that isn't loud or busy with pedestrians. Interior and bathrooms were clean and you can tell theplace is maintained well. The focus is American and Tavern food and it really is very good. Specials are usually a deal andyou can eat as a family and be full on just the entrees. Ribs and Hamburgers were very good and the fish was above average. Iwould recommend if you want to eat as a family around the Mt Airy area. Please support local restaurants so we can keep gemslike this around! Went for buffet on mother's day, cold food, no labels to know what you were looking at. Owner didn't know what type of fried... shrimp it was, turned out to be coconut after he reached in with his hand to taste one. Server was very pleasant. Read more

Party of 10 Saturday early evening before 5pm visit. The restaurant is located in the corner of an older strip mall. The dining... room is on the right and the bar area is on the left. The dining areas could use a lighting upgrade. Both areas are a good sizewith clean bathrooms in the back end of the restaurant. The service was chipper and friendly and the time between ordering andreceiving our food was very reasonable. Prime rib was good, fish tacos were overcooked but may have been a favorite otherwise.The ceasar salad dinner portion was flavorless and the croutons weren't good at all. Salmon was overcooked but was seasoned wellhad a good flavor. The children's food was cooked well. Overall the service was great and although the food portions were fairthe flavor needs improvement. We told our waitress that we had... time constraints and she helped us find selections from the menu that were suitable and came back to check on us.
