Reviews for Laurienzo Wood Fired Cafe in Mt Airy, MD
This place is really hit-or-miss. One time I go it's crazy busy and the food is slow but the wait staff is very attentive and... the food is great. Next time I go the service is super super slow, wait staff not as attentive and the food is just OK. And thelast time I went I sat all the way back by the bar and kept getting a cold draft the entire time I was there. I really wantthis place to be better so I can give it a better rating. I'll try again just because the food was good. Read more
This is a little gem nestled in the main street of My. Airy. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Hey I just have to take my hat off and salute the establishment. From start to end they delivered a great customer experience.... Victoria tending the bar and Pat on the operations they make a dynamic duo. Now I really have get to the food. First of all thepizza is outstanding made with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. Now to the crab cakes. By far the best in the area andsurrounding counties. I'm talking jumbo lump meat no filler and just enough of the secret ingredients to keep it all together. If you visit Mount Airy or live here you gotta try this place. They have my 100% stamp of approval. Thanks guys continue to dowhat makes you great!!! Read more
Came here for dinner last night with friends. Plenty of room. I believe there are more tables upstairs but did not need to... explore since it wasn't overcrowded. The service was great as well as the food and drinks. Went with bunch of winos so they didsome damage. A friend had the espresso martini so I gave it a try. It's been about 30 years since I had some Kahlua Liqueur butthat's what it reminded me of. Great food, great atmosphere. Not much else to ask for when dining. Looking at some of the olderreviews from last year, most patrons did not like the Panera cafeteria style the restaurant implemented. Not sure if it was justthe COVID accommodations adjustment at the time but everyone can be rest assured that the regular restaurant style table serviceis back. Read more
Love Laurienzos! Amazing pizza and pasta options. Nice atmosphere offering indoor and outdoor dining - plus a bonus party room... upstairs for events! All the pizza toppings are great (although $2 to add basil to a pizza is a little nuts in my opinion) butthe meatballs are out of this world. The shore shrimp is a great appetizer and the shrimp are always perfect. We miss the beeftip stroganoff and wish they would offer a wider drink/beer selection, but it's not a deal breaker. Update: the cheesy garlicbread is an entire effing pizza, they now offer the best crab cake I've ever had (I am from Maryland) with a jalapeño cornchowder deliciousness, aaand the short rib masala is the bomb. Awesome food to be had at Laurienzo Wood Fired Cafe?. We shared the Garlic Cheese Bread appetizer; imagine a whole pizza that... the 4 of us shared, it was huge! Very delicious! Two of us tried the Short rib marsala (it may not be on the menuconsistently), oh my goodness! It is a culinary treat of an entree! The allowed us to swap out the pasta for mashed potatoes, and even that was excellent! You will love it whether with or without pasta! I highly recommend enjoying the outdoor diningtoo! We will be back. Thanks for the great experience! Read more
My wife and I tried Laurienzo Brick Oven Cafe for lunch, while in Mt Airy walking the main street The staff was very friendly... and attentive. Cool atmosphere as well. The food was very quick to come out, and delicious. We started with meatballs as anappitizer, the split a cheese pizza. Perfect lunch! Definitely recommend Read more
The food is great, but the wait is so slow. Every time we have ordered just one pizza it has taken over an hour to get it.... Sometimes there are no other customers present in the restaurant. When you order online, it?ll give you the time to pick up andthey are always 20+ minutes later if not more. Great food, but call ahead at least an hour. Read more
