Home style cooking, small and quaint place, but I liked it!

When my two children were visiting from NY and IN, we went to Elli Mae's for breakfast. They wanted me to steer them towards... local restaurants, so I thought of this place! We got there about 9:30, ordered, and they had to bake another pan of biscuits. No big deal, everyone ordered them but me! I ordered bacon, soft scrambled eggs, grits, toast. A little after 10, it arrived.Everyone raved on the biscuits, but my breakfast was kinda bad. Grits were kinda cold, bacon tasted funny, and no butter orjelly for toast eggs were ok, mixed in with grits, but not great. I know I waited til 9:30 to get there, but that's no reasonto serve sub par food. 4 stars cause my kids liked the biscuits! Read more

I was excited to find a country restaurant for breakfast, but was soon disappointed. The corned beef hash had very little... flavor. I was impressed with the quality of bacon used, but it was near burnt. I'll be back next time I'm in town to give itanother go. The lunch/dinner menu looks amazing! (Pictured) Read more
