We came at 9:30am and it was already pretty busy. We were told the estimated wait was going to be an hour due to being short... staffed. We still decided to wait, but it was almost an hour and a half before we were seated, which was expected. The hostesseswere patient and doing the best they could, so it was fine. After an hour of waiting we were told they couldn't seat our party of 9 (4 adult 5 children) together so we would be sat at... separate tables, we had to wait an additional 10 min to be seated.... guess who tuned 1 table sideways and made it a party of 9again. Ok so out comes the biscuits and cornbread. We couldn't eat that because it took an additional 15 min for the drinks tocome out and when they and I tried said cornbread.... 4 small bites was all I managed to choke on before I had to admit defeat.Even the off tasting coke was no match for Sahara dryness of the cornbread. So after an eternity of trying to keep my kids undercontrol and telling them the food would be here soon... it finally came... the massive side of 6 oil soaked French fries cookedin the same oil as fish, the macaroni with a clear burnt flavor and the mashed potatoes half underneath the macaroni with theI've been plated for 20 mins already film on top. Oh and the rubber chicken ???? no no no not the one that squawks, I mean thedog toy kind... There was a short wait to get seated not too long but long enough for me to buy two snow globes lol. Our waitress farrah was... real sweet she was swamped but she managed to get to everyone in a timely manner. My boyfriend and I got the same thing we hadthe strawberry cheesecake pancakes and they tasted as good as they looked. Overall we both left satisfied and very happy. The waitress Shay was amazing!!!! It was crazy busy when we first got there ebut we weren't waiting longer then 10 minutes to... get our seat. Food isn?t as hot as it could be. Small portions. Quick service. Plenty of parking. Kind staff. Overall my party got the... catfish, breakfast, meatloaf, and even some French toast. Biscuits are a go to! Cornbread no so much. Make sure you ask for jam.The preserves are great. Tried all the sides. Mac & Cheese & hash brown casserole were my fav. Coleslaw was crisp. (Don?t gobefore closing, food isn?t as fresh) Shout out to Amanda! Waited on our table perfectly! Overall a great experience. I love the Cracker Barrel store. My family and I went in to eat. Their biscuits are amazing. I enjoyed the cinnamon roll pie.... That was very tasty. However, I asked for eggs scrambled soft oh, they came out like hard patties for both my daughter and I. Weordered a steak as well. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came out dry as hell. Instead of calling that the fried Grandpabreakfast, they should have called that Grandpa fried cardboard box. The server also was not that informative. She gave wronginformation. But that's okay maybe she was new. We ordered the grilled catfish. I really enjoyed that. It had a nice flavor. Iordered the plum Mimosa. It tasted like juice or soda. It's not worth getting. I love Cracker Barrel, but was disappointed in the experience I had at this one..the taste of everything but the plain (no... Chicken) dumplings, the biscuits and salad were the only edible things eaten...it looked so good brought out, but my carrotswere cold,not glazed and hard, barely cooked..the turnips were to full of old " hard to chew ham"? ( It looked like ground upold barbecue meat) The greens were hot but stringy and hard to eat.. my daughter had the Chicken pot pie, the crust wasovercooked, but could had been fine with that if the filling was good, it was Chicken pot pie,but tasted like a old beef notchicken,, but beef gravy the kind like what you by in packages and mix, there was very few vegetables, or Chicken, it tastedpretty bad, and sadly it wasn't ate after a couple bites.. the 1 glass of tea I was given.. was good.. the server was nice,though rushed, attention obviously elsewhere but after meal arrived by a different server I did ask her to relay the carrotissue and asked a substitute of Mac & cheese for the carrots.. it came out 10 minutes later, and again, it tasted not quiteright, like it was not made with cheese, a store Mac& Cheese taste better....was disappointed after not dining in since Covidbegan.
