That local southern diner experience for sure! Food is at a great price and portions are huge! Your coffee cup will never get... close to empty. Very warm staff, tons of food options, and great for picky kids. Table and booth seating available. Fairwarning, this place can get busy (but in a good way). Read more

How do I pass by this place for 8 years and not stop in? Well I guess that's my fault because the food is awesome. I had chicken... and dumplings I never eat anyone else's except my own. They were awesome so homemade so delicious so creamy the dumplings werebeautiful. The chicken was soft, tender, fresh I could go on forever. Definitely everything was awesome. Thank you so muchHillbillies Cabin. We will take pictures when we go back. We definitely didn't think about it this time because the food looksso delicious we wanted to dig right in! Read more

I came there for breakfast last Saturday morning. I've had a great experience every time I've been, this time was a little bit... different. The biscuits almost resembled Frozen, they were not hot and the bacon appeared to be the microwavable bacon fromWalmart or Sam's. I'm not saying that I would never go back, but when I'm coming through town, I may choose another option forbreakfast. On a positive note, the waitresses are always so extremely pleasant. **I wanted to update as I saw Stacy's response.I appreciate you reaching out and please know that I will be by again in the future. It was just not what I had experienced inthe past, but apology is definitely accepted. I appreciate it more than you know and do understand you guys were busy and thingshappen occasionally** Read more

My sister & brother-in-law took me for all you can eat chicken tenders, catfish & bbq last time I visited. The restaurant was... packed when we arrived & we had to wait a minute for them to clean a table for us. I started with chicken tenders & catfish &opted for collard greens & green beans for sides. The greens were flavorless, but the green beans were good. They weren'tovercooked & they were well seasoned. The chicken tenders were okay, but the catfish was absolutely amazing! It was perfectlybattered, perfectly cooked & served piping hot with tartar sauce on the side. I have to say the catfish was second best I'veever had. It would have been the best, but across the table, my brother-in-law was brought way overcooked catfish that was darkbrown, crunchy & dry. Fortunately my sister's catfish was like mine. When I reordered, I only requested catfish as did mybrother-in-law. The server brought a plate piled with catfish - some looked gorgeous, cooked perfectly while others werebordering on burnt. One thing I really like about this restaurant is they allow you to change your sides when you reorder. Itried the fried apples & coleslaw & greatly enjoyed both of them. The coleslaw was finely chopped & refreshing. The fried appleswere still slightly crisp with a tang. I would return to this restaurant, but next time I'll review the check before payingbecause when we arrived home & looked at the receipt, we were charged twice for our drinks. Read more

Fast service even if it was busy. I had the Cajun Grilled Chicken with coleslaw, baked potato and fried apples with a Sweet tea.... It was so fast that I would have thought the chicken would not be cooked but it was tender and well cooked. The coleslaw wastasty, reminded me of my mother's coleslaw. Baked potato was well cooked. The biscuit was soft. Unfortunately they didn't havereal butter only pretend butter. Sweet Tea was delicious though. The portions seemed small or maybe it was because they put myfood on a big plate. I retract my last review. So, excited to see things are as they were. Excellent breakfast! Everything was perfect, right down... to the coffee! We will definitely be back!~chef dee What happened in a month's time, the food was fantastic the first visit. However, this time will be our last. If you can not stay consistent with your menu (changed the gravy, the sausage, and thecoffee was like drinking just creamer), I can not keep going back to wonder "will it be good today or not?" So, off my list yougo. Sad to say, from a 5 to a 0 if I had my way. ~chef dee Read more
