Reviews for Firehouse Subs Merchants Greene in Morristown, TN
Our experience last night was awful! Its been getting increasingly worse each visit. We used out app to order online. (A 20 min.... drive from our house.) I get to the restaurant, and there are 7 people sitting at tables waiting on their meals. I check therack for online orders, mine wasn't ready yet. There are FIVE boys working the sandwich area. That's alot of hands, what'staking so long?? They're chit chatting amongst themselves and staring off into the distance. Then two MORE boys come from theback of house, one starts sweeping the dinning room, one is doing something with the drink machine. (why aren't they helpingget all these orders out ?) As I am waiting for my online order, one man finally gets his meal. Something was wrong, they had toremake it- that took entirely too long. Another man receives his food. There are still about 4 people and myself waiting for ourfood. The boys at the sandwich counter seem annoyed and are working with NO urgency at all. (I waited 15 mins for my onlineorder after placing it twenty mins prior.) I get my food. We had two cups of potato soup for our sides. When I tell you we hadthree bites each. That isn't an exaggeration. We got one fourth of the cup full... that was a waste one of boys mumbledsomething regarding the soup, the other one shrugged as he scooped in the bowls. I got the new prime rib sandwich and IT WASCOLD. Not cool, not room temp but ICE COLD. I was under the impression it was a hot sandwich. Cold meat. Cold cheese. Wasmissing the garlic aoloi. Online I had checked we wanted A1 and Captian sauce, of course they weren't in the bag. I met a couplewalking in as I was walking, told themselves to save the aggravation and go elsewhere. Read more
EDIT: I'm editing my first review of 3 stars and changing it to 4. I gave them another chance, and it was much better this time.... The restaurant was clean, and the staff was more friendly. They still don't look like they want to be there much, but they didspeak to me and were courteous. First, the three stars instead of one or two stars is because the sandwiches were very good. They were made just like we ordered them. The three stars instead of four or five is due to the cleanliness of the restaurantand the customer service. Like other patrons have stated, my husband was not even greeted when he came in. The workers justlooked at him like he was the one who should start talking. My husband said there was a big spill in front of the drink machine. They had placed a sign about the wet floor but had not even cleaned up the spilled drink. He was not happy at all with thestaff, and he is usually a "give them the benefit of the doubt" kind of guy, so the service must have been pretty poor. Read more
I walked in at 9:00 pm right at closing. I didn't realize they closed at 9. They still took my order which is fantastic because... the food wasn't for me. I was even greeted walking in. It was greatly appreciated taking my order and demonstrates world classservice. Food is always on point. Read more
I love the place, go there several times a month. That being said. It seems to be dropping in quality lately. Untoasted stale... bread, skimpy on the sauce for subs like the brisket and cheese, and just slamming on so much lettuce ect that you can't eat thesub without a fork and knife without ruining your chest. Idk what's going on but sub.... assemblers? Need a wake up call. CauseI'm giving it about 2 more tries then I'm just done, would rather spend the 15 bucks on a pickup order from a resturant. Was in there july 3rd 2022. About 5:10 pm. Dining room very dirty. Not at all busy so plenty time to clean it. Had highchairs... covered in plastic assuming because covid regs. Yet leave dining room dirty. Floor at drink station was covered in stickydrinks. Sweet tea all over countertop. Dirty tables. Really dirty on floor around tables. Read more
I hadn't been to a Firehouse in over 10 years so I was really looking forward to it when my sister suggested it for dinner while... I was visiting. I was quite disappointed when we walked in & I didn't hear anything. In fact, the next 2 parties to enter afterus were not greeted either. Then the door opened & I finally heard it, "Welcome to Firehouse". We ordered our sandwiches & whenwe were paying, we realized the guy had assumed we wanted small subs. When we brought to his attention that we wanted largesubs, he glared at us, sighed & explained he would have to delete & re-enter the entire order. My feeling was, it was only 3sandwiches & he should have asked instead of assumed if he was actually going to have to redo the whole thing. He fixed theorder & it took about 10 minutes for the order to be ready. My sister & her husband were both happy with their sandwiches: hook& ladders. I chose the engineer & wasn't quite so happy. The meat was delicious, but the mushrooms didn't seem to fit & I neverdid see or taste any cheese. In addition, the sandwich seemed to be lacking salt overall. I had requested the addition ofjalapenos & cucumber. I thought they may have forgotten the jalapeno at first, but I found 2 slices on the sandwich while I waseating. I wish there had been more!! Maybe it had been so long since I had Firehouse, I remembered it better than it ever was.Maybe not. I will say that even though I will not be rushing back to this location, I will be looking for another location tosee if my faith in Firehouse can be restored. Read more
Sandwiches are usually good, but I got a salad today and the lettuce and meats were all frozen. Got about two bites into it and... couldn?t eat any more. I usually enjoy their food, but they seem to have gotten worse as of late. Also, the ladies working atthis location are sort of rude sometimes. Read more
Got a turkey sub. Asked for no tomatoes, well my sub came woth nothing but meat and cheese. Gross sandwich for too much money to... not even have toppings. Will never return to firehouse subs. They used to be good when you could have toppings on your sandwich. Read more
