This place is a hidden Gem. I came for lunch and was surprised when I got there. The decor and the music was perfectly selected.... The food was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent. I am hooked and definitely recommend to go and eat out for a nicedate night or for lunch. Read more
Delicious!! I called in my order for pickup but next time will definitely be eating in, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL inside!!! I... got the Momma?s Medium combo; 2 fall off the bone, meaty, juicy, perfectly seasoned baked Turkey Wings?baked Mac & Cheese - thecombo of cheeses really compliment each other and also perfectly seasoned?and delicious, fresh, collard greens (the smoothnessof the creamy Mac and cheese went perfect with the greens). When I found out a southern restaurant had come to Morristown, I was elated! Walking in the restaurant it was adorable, fun and... colorful! Unfortunately, that's all I can say nice about the restaurant. Our orders were incorrect, forgotten or arrived at theend of our meal. We each ordered Mamma's Medium and chose two different meats. It wasn't until after we received the bill thatwe were told we were charged $2 for choosing different meats. (Not the end of the world, if you're told up front. It'squestionable when you're told at the end and given the excuse, "Oh, I always say that up front, must've been the Monday nightfootball game that made me forget.) The kicker is, the first order on the receipt says it was the same meat ordered, yet wewere still charged for the additional meat at the bottom. The food was mediocre at best, my fried chicken was burnt and thepotato salad came at the end of the meal and was still warm. I had very high hopes but unfortunately I will not be returning toSandi's, nor would I recommend going. Read more
Wanted to love this place, but Id rather go to cracker barrel. The restaurant was adorable, but the service was terrible! Also... they charge you twice when you order "Mammas Medium" and order two different types of meat. It may say that you paid for the BBQrib in the $13 but there was an additional charge of $2 for additional meat regardless. In speaking with the manager we werewrong. The portions were very small, and we never received the biscuits we asked for. Also our potato salad didnt show up tillwe were almost done eating AND IT WAS WARM. The soul bread was delicious and by far the only thing we enjoyed other thanatmosphere. Wish the food and service and prices were better. The fried chicken, mac and cheese, and yams are my favorite!! If you like peach cobbler then you better try that out as well!!!
I so want this place to be successful, and hopefully they'll figure it out with enough time. First the food tastes great, and... the restaurant is really well decorated. Now onto the bad. The portions seem off compared to the price. I felt like the sideswere the main dish and the main dish was the side. Three different things I tried ordering were not available and I showed upat opening time. I ordered the two piece chicken and one of the pieces was this scrawny chicken wing. The other piece was adrumstick. Very little chicken on my plate. Last complaint, they charge for water - not a bottle - but water from thesink. So the food is tasty, the place is nice, servers were polite, but the value just isn't there. Either increase portionsor decrease price. And specifically request no wings when you order. Read more
This place is SO GOOD! Nah, foreal though. I had the 2piece fried chicken w mac & collard greens. The chicken was super fresh,... crispy fried to perfection & seasoned so well! The mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy. The collard greens had a little kickto it and was very good. On top of that, their hot sauce is delicious & spicy! Idk what type of hot sauce they gave me but itwas good yall I cant explain lol. Just GO here. I think I want to try their fried catfish next!! The place is really cute on theinside, everyone is friendly , and the place is BYOB if you want to sit in!
