Reviews for Old No 1 Bar & Grill in Morris, MN
It wasn?t overly busy for a evening maybe 6-7 tables including our table. Server was on it with getting drinks but throughout... our time spent here service declined more and more. Server didn?t come back to check on us hardly at all. Seemed she was in theback visiting in the kitchen or talking to her friends at a table more than anything. Food came out everyone?s was not very warmand mine was cold. Cheese wasn?t even melted anymore. Waited a hour and a half for our food. Had to ask other servers if wecould get some more water. Server just kept saying ?I don?t know what happened in the back that the food took so long? and thesame ?I don?t know what happened? as to why my food was cold. Didn?t even get offered a free drink or a discounted meal. At theend didn?t ask how we should split the check just gave one check to the oldest at the table (which is the total opposite of whatwe wanted.) Fries were very dark because of the oil being so dirty. Read more
I hate when restaurants serve old smoked foods. Brisket sandwich was tough, and chewy, tasted like it was re heated. Fish and... pizza was OK. Read more
Went on Thursday night. Restaurant about 50% full, maybe a bit more. Our group of 3 ordered 3 burgers/fries. Took 2 hours to get... our food. Fries were cold. There were 3 cooks on staff that night but when we made a comment about how long our food took thewaiter pretended not to have noticed how long it took and then made excuses because there were several larger groups that night. No apologies or attempt at making it right. They did bring us new fries but I didn?t appreciate the gaslighting or the length oftime it took to make 3 burger meals. Just take responsibility Read more
We showed up and it wasn't clear whether we go upstairs or downstairs? So the downstairs is completely run down and disgusting.... Upstairs looks like a nice bar. Lots of seating options and TVs. We ordered right away, but then we waited an hour to get ourfood. The food was overcooked and underwhelming once we finally got it. Definitely won't be back again. Read more
Old No 1 Bar & Grille used to be a great place to eat. But the last couple of times that I have been there, the service is... very, very slow! And they weren't even packed! And I know prices are high, but at least make up for it with fast and efficientservice. I had the chicken wrap which was good. My husband had the Rueben. Meat was tough and rubbery. Not impressed. The only problem I have with Old No is that sometimes it gets too crowded, but that just goes to show that the food is actually... really tasty. They have some exotic items for a bar menu, but I wouldn't recommend those. Old #1 really shines at makingtraditional American bar food, and it is GOOD. They also have a pretty great selection of drinks both on tap and mixed, so youcan't really go wrong coming here for either food or drinks. Id recommend investigating the appetizers, most of them are reallygood so you might find something you love. Read more
Best Rueben and sweet potato fries I've had in a long time. Waitresse was very nice, clean place, definitely recommend. Was... worth the hour drive. Read more
Ok so long post. Waitress was great super nice and did her best! I came in with my family of 3 adults and 4 kids ages 5 and... under. We are not picky eaters and like something fast. Sadly this place food was over cooked, no seasonings, and dry. I orderedthe sirloin steak with fries for 22$. My steak had no flavor at all. I took one bite and was done, note I did try adding saltand pepper and that didn't even help steak. They had made the grill marks but burnt the marks and steak was still cold in themiddle, it was also very tough/chewy. Now fries were good and toast was good. Sadly I paid $22 dollars for a handful of friesand a slice of toast. Two other adults had some big burgers and fries. Burger patties also not seasoned to the point they cakedthe burgers in ketchup. The patties were dry and over cooked with some crunchy burnt spots (not good). Kiddos got corn dogs andfries said it was good. Other kiddo got chicken nugget and ate almost everything. Sadly my 3rd kiddo would taken 2 bites of hisburger. He told me it was too dry and didn't taste yummy. He wouldn't eat anymore. We also did get a couple appetizers ofcheese balls and blooming onion and have no complaints there whatsoever. Blooming onion was nice and crispy with amazing sauseand the cheese balls were delightful and not greasy at all. Drinks were delishes we had tap beer with three different 3 sizesand Shirley temple, mountain dew tasted odd and water. So I'm giving 2 stars for the waitresse being super nice and kind. Allin all it's not worth the money for food but drinks were amazing. I guess be great place for someone that don't like seasoningson anything. Plz Norte this place is more expensive on things. Not a cheap dinner. Read more
