Spectacular view and amazing interior.. it's like a museum with history. All about the local native people. The staff are... usually locals that are learning the trade and a few veterans to train em. If you miss this marvellous stop on the #1 Hwy in the foothills of the Rockies your trip will not be complete! The Smitty?s... restaurant is one of the best and the atmosphere is very peaceful. The native displays are well worth the time tostudy. Definitely a must see, and dine, destination. ---------- Four months later and my wife and I are heading to theKananaskis for the day. This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The building is stunning. The vibe is so peaceful with aboriginal music playing in the... background. The food is excellent, cooked the way you like it. Loved the location of this place. They had dine in open as well as a wonderful patio over looking the highway & mountain. This... restaurant is visible from the highway itself very difficult to miss it. The restaurant has a lot of seating, super lit, veryneatly maintained, the restrooms are clean and ample parking. The staffs are very very very friendly. We had breakfast here andthe bread was freshly made in-house. Food was delicious. The staff who attended to us was very sweet. She was right around thecorner if we need anything. The price was also not too expensive. 35$ for 2 seems like a pretty great deal for a patiobreakfast.
