Today was our first visit since arriving in Morganton over a month ago. We went in for lunch and were seated quite promptly and... ordered our drinks. After thoroughly reviewing the menu, we ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with peppers/onions/mushrooms (holdthe jalapeños) and sides of Pasta Salad and Potato Salad. All was very delicious. I will point out that the potato salad hasmore of a mustard flavor, which is quite alright by me, as opposed to a mayo flavor. They are open from 11:00 a.m. to midnightand have many varieties of draft and bottled beers. I?m sure they also have liquors, but I did ask for any so I cannot speak toit. There are many televisions, a game room, and a deck outside with tables overlooking the Catawba River. They even have ariver access point so kayakers and tubers can tie-off and stop in. Incredible location, great food, and friendly service. When we arrived based on the number of cars in the parking lot, on a... Saturday evening, I assumed we would have to wait but we were immediately seated. We were seat near the riverwalk. Wife had thecheeseburger wrap and fries, and I had the Mushroom Garlic Swiss Burger with tots. We both really enjoyed our meals, and can'twait to go back. Read more
First time going and had a great experience. Went on a busy Friday afternoon for lunch. Was seated immediately, waitress was... fast, attentive and very friendly. Food was fresh, hot and came out fairly quick. My husband had the meatball sub and I had theBuffalo chicken wrap both served with French fries. Both were GREAT! We ate every last bite. Other people around us seemed to behaving a good time as well. We will for sure be back to try some of the other menu items. Read more
Ww stopped in Town Tavern for lunch on a Tuesday. We ordered the nachos and the fish and chips. The gosh and Chios were good.... The fried fish was still moist and delicious. The. Aches has lettuce on them which I normally would rather it not buy otherwisewas good. The view of the river is amazing. They have lots of tvs throughout the pub. The menu had numerous other things I wouldlike to try in future visits. Overall great experience. Read more
Enjoyable first visit to Town Tavern. Even though it was a busy Friday night, the wait time was very reasonable. Our server was... attentive and the food was good. Reasonable portions, served hot, and at a good price. The only thing that was a negative, forme, was that it was very loud, but even so, it's not a deal breaker. Overall good experience. We went for dinner and the food was delicious. Our waitress was maybe not on her A game but everyone has a off day every now and... then so I would still give an A for a great job. ****Edited review---Ask for thr chicken tacos made into nachos!! TRUST***JUST OPENED!! Y'all, COME HERE. Amazing outdoor area... directly off the Greenway path and the river is right there!! The food was excellent. We had Fish n Chips(fresh battered fish)And the crab cake sandwich. Ok, So....they did not have a few items on the menu(who cares) they're brand new and EVERYBODY wasSUPER nice and apologized. All Good. Our server's name was JaZmine! Love her. Fabulous. The best way to enjoy this restuarant is start by walking down the Catawba greenway and enjoying the views of the Catawba river.... You can easily stop here and have a quick bite or drink before continuing. Great pub fair food, with beautiful views. Unwindwith a drink at the bar and enjoy some fresh air by sitting outside.
