The baked mussels were very good. I was surprised that the Saba was a grilled filet rather than traditional Saba. The jalapeño... roll didn?t really have much in the way of jalapeños? maybe just a couple little pieces that were hard to find. Nice roll, justlacking spice (I know, I know?.. jalapeño rolls are an American thing?. This is not a Japanese sushi restaurant, it?s more ofa California fusion restaurant. But, the food is okay. The chefs are not Japanese, explaining the lack of authenticSaba. Morgan Hill does have a true sushi restaurant, but this is not the one. Also, the food was served out of order which wasstrange. Price was high for what I got. Nothing was bad. It's just really did not stand out in any way shape or form unfortunately. I am... a big tuna fan and unfortunately nothing on the regular menu jumped out at me. Sushi Ichiban has great tasting sushi, fresh, no smell, I started with miso soup, and had, 6 piece sashimi that had Muguro,... Hamachi, and Sake salmon. Michelle roll is soo gooood! And Sake Hama which is salmon collar that is super umami. I wanted KiranIchiban beer but they have been out of that for months now which is too bad they don't have thier name sake Ichiban.
