This is a wonderful local place to visit. The bar usually has music on the weekends and the atmosphere is very lively. They... have nearly 30 beers on tap and the bartenders are willing to help you pick the one (or two) that matches yourpreferences. Every dish I've tried here had been fantastic but the Tuna Tataki appetizer is easily my favorite. There were only a couple of things I was disappointed in with the amount of money that was spent. That was the tuna Tataki and... the server could have been more attentive. Overall it was a pleasant experience but plan on spending some $$. Read more
Doubt we?ll be back. Service was slow, took almost an hour to get our entrées. BBQ was lackluster, burnt ends were mostly... fat, sweet potato and regular fries were good, server had a difficult time splitting the check, over charged us, triedcorrecting it and couldn?t split the meals correctly. Picked up for lunch and then went for dinner. Takeout order came with pesto instead of "green goddess" dressing. Text... functionality in ordering platform doesn't seem to work. Food had been sitting as a result. No utensils offered or included onpickup. Sandwich and chips were good. Dinner we got the brisket grilled cheese and the fish but. Both were great. Read more
I can't say enough good things about this place. The owner was very friendly, the manager Matt went above and beyond good... customer service and the food was AMAZING. The restaurant in itself is a great ambiance and is just comfortable to be in. Thecarnitas were so flavorful and all around just the best meal I've had in a long time. They were so accommodating to my glutenand dairy allergies..Matt took the time to go over the menu options with us. We will be coming back here even if it is an hourdrive from our house. Some friends had my wife?s farewell part here last night. This is a great little spot to hang out with friends and also, a great... spot for a good meal. I can recommend the Kahuna personal pizza. Delicious. Out service was great, food was great and theprices very affordable. As a matter of fact when I paid, I had to ask if the charges were right because it sounded too cheap.There is usually live music on the weekends. My only con is if you sit in the back room where the band sits up, try to sit asfar away from the band as you can. It?s ear splittin? loud. You can actually understand the music better the further away yousit. The acoustics in this building are not the best. Not the band?s fault and certainly not Promise Land?s fault. Husband and I went for an early lunch to celebrate our anniversary and the waitress was very sweet and attentive. She shared... what they were known for and gave great suggestions. The food was good, however nothing I would crave to have again. We orderedthe pimento cheese dip which my husband liked. We tried the crab dip- it was good. I had the lobster roll, which was tasty butyou could tell it was imitation lobster, which is fine- I was just expecting fresh lobster. Husband ordered the crabcake, againwas fine. Nothing was bad at all, but nothing was amazing either. We enjoyed our time together and may come back to try it againanother time. Super great prices on the lunch menu. Very nice waitstaff. Prompt seating during the non tourist season. Drinks were prompt and... well made. No issues. 4 drinks, 2 lunches under $60. Nice decor. Read more
