Amazing service with kids! Booths fit large family dine-in, they have their own kids menu, which gets the kids a meal almost... exact to the adult meal in appearance, but with a gift or side. The waitress who served me was awesome with my son who is 9 &treated him as though he was a special guest for dinner, he loved it, and it showed me the respect they have for families, &helped me as a mom have an easy experience after a tiresome day of Christmas shopping. Always enjoyed these classic diner styled restaurants, even before they were known as HWY 55. Though this one has a much more... grandeur appearance to it, the food is still the same! Delicious, warm and out of the kitchen when you need it most. This placebeing larger also means more room, so you're not heavily crowded. It also means their serving robot can traverse the waitingfloor easily! And, if you have not done so already, definitely grab yourself one of their famous and delicious custard-basedmilkshakes! We just love the new HWY55 in Morehead City. The food is always delicious. The waitresses are alway great. But today, our... waitress was exceptional. Her name was Mary Kate and she was amazing. So polite and courteous. But her personality set herabove the rest. I felt like we made a new friend by the time we left. I will always look for Mary Kate when we eat thereagain. First visit ever and will be a while before I can make myself try again. When I came in, I didn't see anything clearly telling... me I could seat myself, I stood a bit, then asked someone, they stated just sit anywhere and I could order at the table or bar.All of the empty tables were dirty. When I ordered, food came out quickly but it was wrong.... not once but twice. Then it waspretty cold. I ate it because I needed to get on the road. Waitress was very nice and present although I felt bad she wascleaning tables as people were sitting down at them. There were a few employees that were wandering about looking a little lost,maybe they could have been wiping tables. The floor was extremely slick and my shoes have grip on the bottom. Not sure what thatwas about but may want to check that floor so no one gets hurt. I gave 2 stars because he waitress was good and I realizeeveryone has been struggling with staff but you all seem to have had plenty of help at this time. We hit up our local Hwy 55 regularly for the VERY BEST Burgers and Fries, fresh, fast and the service is impeccable! Shout out... to Taylor (love her avocado earrings!) who always has a smile for customers. Brian must take good care of his staff for EACHand EVERY one of them is gracious, professional and makes visiting this Morehead City location a true treat! Kudos to the 55Team *PS way faster than McDonald's next door and these burgers are not only substantial but seriously taste like a hamburgershould.
