If you like creative food or just in the mood for something out of the norm.. then this is your place! The décor and ambiance ... had a flair of European sheik, layered with lots of Southern charm. We ordered several things as we like to create our owntasting menu lol. We had the blue cheese grits topped with fried oysters and drizzled with their own homemade Buffalo sauce..OOH MY!! My husband is not an oyster person.. just doesn't care for them at all BUT this dish was absolutely amazing and weshared it right down to the last oyster and the very last bite lol. We also shared a plate of the burnt ends.. AKA littlechunks of pork belly drizzled with housemade bbq sauce and Served with warm cherries and a smokey flavor... Absolutelydelicious.. So flavorful. I'm not one who typically likes anything with the word burnt in front of it .. But these wereanything but… they were crispy yet meaty with smokey deliciousness in every bite. Everything was quite tasty.. however thesefirst 2 Dishes were our personal favorites for sure. Ordered the "fried cheese" cheeseburger.. very different.. Served withHeinz 57 sauce.. and pickles...The cheese was overflowing and crispy around the edges. We personally prefer a plumper Burgerbut it was tasty.. with a bit of old fashioned flair. The French fries were fresh and very good. we also had the redneck eggrolls.. Which was filled with chopped pork barbecue And served with a side of wasabi coleslaw.. Not big on slaw but theslight hint of spice was very complimentary to those crispy perfections.. Wish the meat had more of a smokey flavor but theyWere unique and tasty . I got the shrimp plate for take out at Floyd’s. This was it.. for $26. Nine French fries. How disappointing! And what a rip... off. I love Floyd’s food but this isn’t right. Read more

My family and I went here on Thursday night and we were SO impressed! The host was so warm and inviting (and might I add... stylish) The ambiance was so beautiful and classic, it gave an upscale historical vibe! Our server was an ANGEL! And thefood? Seriously the best food any of us had the entire trip! It was amazing! We tried the Tuna steak with grits and collardgreens and it was AMAZING, and my husband got the fried seafood, and it was AMAZING! Everything we tried from oyster appetizersto our meals, and even the drinks.. all absolutely perfect. Way to go Floyd’s! Never change! Read more

Floyds 1921 Restaurant has great food and the friendliest staff around. We got the Watermelon Salad for a starter and then had... the Peppercorn Filet and Ribs. If you like mixed drinks you need to try the pineapple dream!!!!Everything was perfect and ourserver Abby was beyond AMAZING! We love Floyd's! Outdoor patio has a bar & several tables for al fresco dining and two fireplaces. The Chef truly is just that,... experienced! Food is fresh, well presented, plentiful & reasonable and omgoodness SO delicious. Staff is very accommodating andfriendly. On our last visit noted fishermen can bring in their cleaned catch & chef will prepare 3 ways: fried, blackening, pansauté. Wonder gem in Morehead. Read more

I came in front out of town and had the best experience ever in a restaurant. Our waitress was very young but she put up with... us even when we all had a little to much to drink. She was so friendly and did a great job. Thank you for a great meal! Read more
