Wastage of money. Staff was nice but food had no taste. Name is spice hut but food doesn?t have any spice in it. Not even salt... and pepper. Would never go back to this place. We ordered biryani, came so fast and had no taste in it. Veggie pakora-very hardand you couldn?t even eat it. Dal makhani- had no taste of india, i don?t know what it was- no salt and spices in it. This was our first time here. The veg samosas are really pricey. We were expecting samosa chaat in around $8 but it was just 2... samosas. We always get a chaat in this price from all the places.This is pricey. And there was little to no butter on butterrotis. Service is really really slow. 2 people at a time are good. Handling everything single handedly is hard. Chicken was goodthough but overall I would not recommend the restaurant to family or friends. Read more
I had the lamb combo special and it was delicious. True mom and pops restaurant! The flavours were spot on. The Lamb was the... prefect spiciness for my taste buds, rice was cooked to perfection and the naan bread was so fresh I could have eaten 20 ofthem. But the most amazing was the dessert, it was like I was at the heart of India having a late night treat of Gulab Jaman.The texture and flavour of sweetness are to die for. First off - The couple of negative comments look like competition. So buy into those reviews. We are from Calgary and passing... through we stayed the night in MJ and at 9:30pm we swung into Spice Hut. We were super happy we did! Everything was spot on. Igot spicy BC and it was perfect! My wife got the Shrimp Biryani, really really good. Naan was made in house. Chicken wasbased in tandoori spices. Next time we pass through we will be back! Bathrooms were spotless and super clean. Restraunt wasvery clean. Excellent service. I popped my head into the kitchen- Spotless. Thank you again! Read more
Food was tasteless. I ordered naan?s but it was like a plastic rubber. It was my dinner with my friend and it spoiled our whole... mood. I suggest don?t order food here. It?s the wastage of food and u will get insulted in front of the guests like me. Thiskind of bad food I didn?t eat ever. Read more
