Atmosphere is relaxed, treated like extended family. Food was amazing, I had a rack of ribs and fries, and the ribs just fell... off the bones like nothing. Also had the Georgia peach cocktail and holy wow was it amazing. The house itself is magnificent,each room is beautiful. My wife and I walked around the place and we were entranced by the ballroom hall in the back. The entirehouse is filled with beautiful furniture (some dating back over 400 years old). But this establishment is timeless. As I statedabove, the servers are super nice. They somehow caught wind that we were on our honeymoon and brought us a slice of cheesecake,and let me say, it was amazing. But be warned, they?re generous when serving you, cause it was huge. This was a very interesting place to visit. I enjoyed the atmosphere, all the old furnishings and the house in general. Food was... fine, quite expensive for nothing special (in my opinion). But my friends soup was definitely curdled. Service was ok, she wasfriendly but a few things were forgotten. Maybe just an off day for her. Read more
A unique historic home turned into a restaurant. There is something for everyone on the menu as there is a selection of steak,... seafood, ribs, chicken and other items. I had cajun steelhead trout, it was quite good but a bit too salty. Read more
Pretty disappointed with the food. My chicken came out raw. The service was good and I never had to pay for my food or drink,... but the reaction from our server with my food being raw was not as surprised as you would expect a server to be. There wasnt apush to get anything else from the menu or apology from the chef. I didnt order any other food or drink as my appetite was gonefrom having a few bits of the raw chicken. My boyfriend's ribs were pretty average. The interior seemed run down, and althoughit was supposed to have the "historic" touch to it, there were definitely some updated renovations that could be done. Overall,wont be going back here. Just love this place because of its setting in a old time house with lots of historical vibes. Our server was an older lady with... and accent that just made the experience great. Food was decent but I wouldn't say it was worth the price. Cooked well,presentation fair, but wasn't as described. Jumbo shrimp were actually medium shrimp. My wings were not how I like them reallywell done and crispy. But shrimp was cooked to perfection and so was the chicken breast. Fries were awesome as well. Overallgood experience. Read more
Went with some phenomenal colleagues & thought I'd go full out boujee. Ordered their Fruit Punch along with Yorkie Prime Rib... appetizer and Apple Butter Ribs.... if there were more then 5 stars on this Google review I'd give them. Atmosphere, serving andfood were all top drawer! Read more
Absolutely love this restaurant! Great food and exceptionally great service. Went Saturday morning with my mom and dad who were... visiting from Saskatoon. I wanted them to experience this business as I was very pleased with it the first time I had went. Wewere nothing short of satisfied! I didn?t happen to catch our servers name but she did mention she was from England. She gets 5stars hands down!! Good customer service is hard to come by these days, so kudos to you!
