I visited for the first time this week and have been back already a couple times to try different menu items. The onion rings... were delicious, burger was juicy, the diet coke actually tasted like diet coke. The ice cream treats are delicious. Definitelygetting great value for your dollar. Would go here before all the chain restaurants in the area for quality now that I knowbetter. Brings me back to my burger drive in days. Read more

The original DQ in Moorhead gets the spotlight in town for good reason, but the Freez also deserves a mention. This is an... old-school, soft-serve ice cream ???? spot w/ fast service, outdoor seating, and a gravel parking lot. It's not fancy, but it'sfun 'cuz it offers a large variety of sundaes ???? Always a fun treat, regardless of anything else I'm about to mention! Weird they didn't have to-go covers and such, and if you... don't know what to order right away, the staff are a tad antsy about it, but I get that. Still makes ordering a little anxiety-inducing though. Banana splits are still our favorite thing though because the candy shake things are mostly just soft servewith a very small amount of candies mixed throughout and one solid lump on top...and still just white soft serve at the bottomof the cup. I remember back in the day when this place was better than DQ...I no definitely longer think that. Tis a shame butit is what it is. Read more
Nice little stop in to Tastee Freez on a beautiful day in Moorhead. We sat outside and enjoyed some ice cream, it was great.... Another plus, was there was no line and we had fast, great service. The worker provided the recommendations too us. My husbandgot the brownie ice cream sundae, which was amazing. Ice cream was great, brownies pieces were soft and delicious and thewhipped cream was also good. I got the strawberry shortcake sundae (it was on special for $3.63). It did not disappoint, wasalso very good ice cream and shortcake on the bottom with lots of strawberry topping. Enjoyable visit and will be back. Read more
