Cute restaurant but don't waste your time with the chicken fried steak. Super flat and definitely a purchased frozen item. It... was our first time here and didn't know what to expect. They serve great food, prices nominal to average. Service was great, coffee perfect, and they managed to make over easy eggs... perfectly, prompt service. Got lucky because the crowd showed after we had been served, when we left there were people waitingto be seated. Beat the crowd and it's worth visiting. I hate giving bad reviews?but yet here we are. First time here-so maybe they are just having a bad day. Who knows. The coffee... was weak. My husband had chicken fried steak- and I have seen better looking chick fried steaks from Walmart. The gravy tastedlike it was straight from a packet-add water-absolutely no love was put into to make it better. I had French toast and thoughtI?d be adventurous and try it with the homemade bread. It was fairly bland and required an exceedingly large amount of syrup tomake it passable. At the end of our meal the waitress picked up the unused straws and placed them back in her apron. I came here to eat breakfast with my family earlier today and was severely disappointed in the service. Our waiter did not give... us her name but regardless she had a really nasty attitude towards us. She may have not intended it but I've worked in the foodindustry and if you get upset and frustrated easily then maybe you should look for another job that doesn't involve interactingwith people. I asked to have an item removed from my bill and she did not want to. Like? I'm sorry I've never been to arestaurant that does that. I didn't even eat it but whatever. I went to pay and when I let the manager know she refused tounderstand the situation, she thought I was complaining about the food which is partial but the main reason was the attitude ourserver had with us. Especially with the world right now you should be more aware of how you talk to people of color because ifnot you will sound racist.
