Husband & l went today for early dinner (4:30). Only a few people there, able to seat ourselves after ordering. Very unique... place, with old filling station decor. Very interesting to look at/read. Staff is very friendly, we were able to joke aroundwith both ladies all thru dinner. Quite entertaining! Husband got the turkey dinner,lite, with potato salad & smokehouse beans.He couldn't eat it all, so I helped him out with the beans & potato salad. They were better than homemade! I had the choppedbrisket sandwich, with fried okra. Very generous portions, & tasted delicious also! Prices are reasonable too! The only negativewould be parking. I love this place. I always come here after dialysis, which is next door. I'm on a fixed time schedule and usually don't have a... lot of time before my ride picks me up. That said, I don't think it's ever taken them longer than 5 minutes to bring me myorder. I always order the half-smoked chicken. It falls off the bone, is incredibly delicious, and seasoned to perfection. Theirsauces are also delicious, my preference is their hot barbecue. The staff is very nice and considerate. I find the prices fairlyreasonable and affordable. I don't particularly dine-in, but the seating is decent in size. I wouldn't go for the decor, but Iwouldn't describe the place as bland either.
