Reviews for Vin Mon Lapin in Montréal, QC
Possibly my favorite meal ever. Each item we had was incredible. The scallop sandwiches were out of this world. I could eat the... razor clams every day. And, the chicken...outstanding. Service was impeccable without being pretentious. Read more
The food was delicious and very fresh! So many different flavours. The day we went, the menu had mainly seafood on it. It was a... little bit like having tapas where everyone was sharing each plate so we could try everything. However, this place is pricey. Wehad 6 plates to share, 2 glasses of wine each, a dessert and a digestive adding up to $300 with tip and taxes. The ambiance wasperfect for a date night and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They knew their menu. We will definitely come back onspecial occasions. Read more

My new favorite restaurant in Montreal. Every plate on the menu is well executed, delicious, fresh, and mouthwatering. I can... confidently say this because myself and 5 friends, literally ordered every plate on the menu to create our own tasting menu, andspent the evening sampling everything (super fun and highly recommend). I can say without a doubt, one plate was simply betterthan the previous. In addition we had a lovely waitress that helped us pair amazing local wines with every part of the meal.Excellent. Read more

Read full review!! This was a tough review to write because there is good and bad! And food isn't the only review necessary when... eating out. This review is based off service and food quality. To start. It's French cuisine it's hard to know what you reallyare eating. Everyday is a different menu which adds to the experience. We were a group of 6(3 couples). We did not know what toorder since you cant just google the dishes. That being said we did some math , to order the whole(most) menu it would havecosted roughly ~50$ person. We decided rather than ordering 3 to 4 things per couple and not sure what we would or wouldn'tlike, we came to the conclusion the table would order it all, try what we like, and decide from there what to order again. Now,we ordered some cocktails, and 2 bottles of wine. We estimated roughly $50 per person on the food plus what ever else we orderand drinks. Long story short the bill came out to roughly $1,500. When we confronted the restaurant about our bill, we weretold that because the amount of food per dish would have been so little, they took it upon themselves to multiply the dishes by3 without notifying us. We were clear from the beginning what our intentions were. No couple goes to any restaurant and ordersthe whole menu for 2 people let alone 3 times for 3 couples! It's absurd to think it is ok in any way to order a menu 3 timesand not notify your customers! My wife was offered a drink which she was charged for , not that it matters at a 1,500 bill. Thatbeing said. I removed (2) stars from my (5) star review for those reason. The restaurant did work with us to correct some of thebill. For perspectives, we were charged 84$ for the dish of Gnudi, 72$ for the dish of Palourdes (dish with 3 clams on ice)inthe pictures provided. 1 person ordered desert but we were brought 3 deserts!(2 different) Now the good: The service wasfantastic,We were explained every dish meticulously. Drinks were refilled quickly and food was served Read more
Mon Lapin was our favourite wine shop during covid shut downs and reopenings so we absolutely could not wait for it to open to... dine in and enjoy both their food and wine! We were able to see the place during renovations and to see it all come together, wow we were speechless how beautiful it turned out! The menu was funky had some really fun options. The only thing I would sayis that I wish there was an English menu - our server was fantastic and went through each dish but we kept adding to our orderas the night went on and forgot what some items were so were kinda a gamble for us - needless to say it turned out great theSurprise items were delicious lol 5 stars for their ambiance, their food menu, cocktail menu && wine menu!! Def recommendgoing when in mtl! BON APPETITE ????????? Read more

I... particularly enjoyed the pasta plate, which was one of the best I've ever had. The cozy atmosphere was very inviting, and thewine selection was excellent. The decor was also very nice and added to the overall pleasant atmosphere.
