For all the times I went out and the music was bad this more than made up for it. It’s exactly what it states, Caribbean food... and Afro-Latin music. I loved the whole experience. Great food and you can burn off the calories by dancing after all night! Read more

I was happy to support this Black owned business, but expected more from my overall experience. I believe sitting at the bar vs.... A table and dining right before it turned for its club/lounge service may have contributed to this. PROS: Beautiful decor, tasty cocktails, delicious raw bar options, kind and helpful hosting staff CONS: Lackluster and rushed service, food quality(taste/flavor) left more to be desired Read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Tropikal. The food was delicious, I took a taste of almost everything our table ordered and it... was all very tasty. We were a table of 9 on the terrace and we all enjoyed ourselves. Waitresses were sweet, friendly andaccommodating. We ended up staying for ladies night (Friday) and the vibes are noooiiiccee. The resident DJ is ???? and Dark &Stormy was my cocktail choice all night. The bartender was a bit rude when we asked for our drink a specific way….but we didnot let that sour our evening. I am looking forward to returning and would d definitely recommend. Read more

The early evening vibe is very nice, but not a big fan of the "bar time" loud music. It's better to go in the day time if you... are not a fan of music turned up to 11. The staff was very nice, and service was great. However, the food was a miss for me.The oxtail doesn't taste like anything out of the ordinary, instead it tastes like home cooking. I also had the guava wings, thesauce was tasty but the wing tips were burned to carbon. Read more

We made a reservation for 4 people on saturday night and when we arrived we were told that we only had 1hr45 minutes to... eat... The food was decent (the jerk chicken is pretty good), not better than other caribean places, but the drinks were veryaverage. As a cocktail amateur I was pretty disappointed. However, this place has a great ambiance with good music, cooldecoration and friendly staff who don't know the menu. Overall the place was ok but with a short limited time (at least 2 hourswill be appreciated), average food and cocktails, 18% service fee for group of 6 people and more.. I think I'll look for abetter option elsewhere. Decoration: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 (music is a bit loud for a restaurant) Staff: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Cocktails:2/5 Value for money: 4/5 Read more

The foods great - atmosphere is fun service was at points disastrous. While eating our plates were removed not once but thrice.... We were left waiting for utensils to eat food delivered to the table. It felt as though we were being rushed out the door. Read more

The food is amazing!! The service is really good too. We had the jerk chicken, oxtail plate, sweet plantain and veggie doubles.... I can't wait to go back and try the Rasta pasta. Read more

First time experience here, opened less than 1 year. Wait staff and hostess were on point. Friendly, helpful and with a smile... underneath their masks. Decor and ambiance are interesting, great assortment of unique cocktails. The menu is varied and uniqueCaribbean style fare. Presentation of food was good but was expecting more flavor/spice. Stephanie at the bar was great, superattitude and really good at the mixology. I will go back to have some appetizers and funky cocktails. Read more
