I love everything about this quaint coffee shop; its location, the decor, the coffee, and the croissants! I came across Tommy?s... on my early walk in search for coffee while I waited for my daughter to wake up. This little gem is centrally located amongstmany of the other restaurants and shops in the Old Montréal - Vieux Port. Lucky for me, it was steps away from where we werestaying; Hotel Nelligan. The staff at Tommy?s were happy and eager to serve. There are not a lot of seats inside so I and manyothers opted for take out which is not an issue as there are many places close by to sit and enjoy your coffee Al Fresco! The service in this place is horrible, first they made me wait at the entrance for almost 10 min, and there were free tables.... And then, when I was finally seating, they didn?t even bring a glass of water or come to the table to ask if I was ready toorder, they ignored me even doing eye contact. So after 15 min I just left. I was not a fan. The decoration is really nice and the setup does it's job really good. It's sets you up for a great... experience. But then the food was OK but the coffee... who thought that serving a coffee in a regular glass was a good idea? Ittasted OK, not great, and I had to hurry get to drink it all before it got cold for which I failed. This place has greatreviews, but probably not for the really important things. Read more
