Reviews for The Alley Montreal in Montréal, QC

So far, after years of tasting all their drinks, my favourite items at the Alley in Montreal are all the items of their \"milk... tea series\" as well as the deerioca matcha (but drink it quickly as the natural bitterness of the matcha will eventually kickin), crunchy tiramisu milk tea (I still need the tiramisu to express more coffee flavour, though), crunchy cocoa milk tea andbrown sugar ginger roasted milk tea.\n\nMy least favourite drinks: Deerioca ube puff (the ube taro \"purple yam\" flavour not asexpressive as I\'d like), the modern deer (cold) which is a recent \"special of the month\" on their menu that features plentyof enticing ingredients such as Peach oolong tea (a flavour I usually love), creamy snow velvet (whipped cream), chocolatedrizzle and freeze-dried strawberries but that, for my taste, tasted plain/watery/ordinary even upon mixing all theingredients.\n\nI am also not a fan of their Deerioca Fever (Brown sugar tapioca served with milk), which, for me, is not asfestive in mouth as I once anticipated, not great in my books, but it is a good enough milky drink which popularity I cansomehow understand to some extent.\n\nAs always with the Alley, nothing is way too bold, nothing is way too rich, nothing is waytoo heavy. Everything is balanced, and I, as well as my stomach, are fine with that. And they have always been, for the mostpart, consistent in taste and quality. Creative as well (which obviously explains why they remain relevant after years ofoperations). Overall, the Alley continues to be one of my preferred bubble tea shops in Montreal. Read more

A cute, convenient bubble tea shop in downtown Montreal. The classic milk tea with tapioca was solid, I could really taste the... tea which I always appreciate, rather than it being drowned out by the milk. The pearls were soft and chewy to my likening andthey had options for the sweetness and ice levels you prefer. The price was the one downside, the tapioca costed me an extra$1(+?) to add to my drink which was disappointing. Overall, would come again but expect to pay over $6 for a small drink Read more

A little cozy bubble tea shop. The Alley used to be considered expensive back in the day (size & price wise). But now, they\'re... the most affordable (compared to Presotea, for example). Been a while since I last visited the place (2019?), and now in 2022,I\'m impressed with the grear variety, affordability, and the warm welcoming environment. Read more

This is a great place when they remember to put the tapioca inside the drink... Especially when they repeat my order back to me... and ask me if I want any other topping and my response is no just tapioca.. and I still don\'t have tapioca. If I wanted to justdrink matcha, I\'d make my own from home and save myself the 20 minute walk. Never have this problem at presotea! It alsodoesn\'t even mention it on the sticker... seriously!!! Actually, I\'ve been a big fan of The Alley for a long time since 2018. Their signature brown sugar deerioca drinks are always... among the best for me. Recently, I\'ve tried their classic milk tea and The Alley trio milk tea at this location. Their milk teawas great, well balanced and gently scented at the first time, which made me feel so satisfied. But for the second time, theirmilk tea was just okay. So for me, the taste of milk tea here depended on who did it. The decoration at The Alley was the bestcompared to other milk tea brands. The ambience was cozy and great to dine in. ???? Read more

Really good milk tea. Tons of customization options, creative and refreshing fruit teas, but their milk teas are my favourite!... Very smooth, and service has been quick and friendly so far! Read more
