To start of I was looking for a restaurant with a fondant au chocolat, so I found this place. Now the fondant was really... excellent. Also nice and warm service. Definitely 5 stars for that alone too. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was themain meal, the burger and fries. A small burger with well fried but cheap frozen fries. Visited once as a guest at the integrated hotel. Made reservations for later that night without an issue. Was greeted and seated... to a corner spot on the terrace which was pleasantly surrounded by flora and light up decor which unfortunately was not litduring our visit. The menu was a bit limited but featured something for most everyone. It did not include child-friendly optionsbut a separate menu may be available. The prices seemed to range from reasonable to somewhat high, but could be due to certainingredients. We were given a complementary plate of fresh French dinner rolls and butter, and the waiter made a specialaccomodations for a special celebration. Our food came out relatively quickly and was all delicious. While I am not a finediner, not have an extremely refinded palate, this was a good mix between a formal and casual dinner affair. Horrible experience!!!!! I had made reservations at Oskar for 9 people on May, 07, 2022 at 1:00 PM (the day before Mother’s... Day). Two hours before the time of our reservation I called the restaurant to ask them a question. The person who picked upthe phone proceeded to tell me that I couldn’t possibly have a reservation because they’re closed on Saturdays for lunch! Iasked to speak to the manager and he told me the same thing! I asked the manager why was I able to make a reservation onlinefor that time and day when the restaurant was closed. I even received a confirmation of my reservation! I also asked him whythe restaurant’s phone message says that they are indeed open from 12:00 PM to 10 PM from Wednesday to Saturday, but he saidthat there’s been a mistake and they’ll only be opening for lunch in about a month! I asked him what I should do with thepeople I had invited to lunch (as it was supposed to be a Mother’s Day celebration) and he just hung up on me!!!! Icouldn’t believe it!!!! Not only the restaurant had confirmed my reservation, and their answering machine indicated that theyshould be open, the restaurant’s manager hung up on me! I couldn’t believe how anyone could act so unprofessionally! Iproceeded to call the Hotel St. Sulpice, where the restaurant is located, and told the lady at the front desk what had justtranspired. She apologized for the manager’s behaviour and spent 10 minutes to try to make us a reservation at anotherrestaurant, but after 2 years of COVID everywhere was completely booked. After 10 minutes she said that she can’t spend anymore time helping me as she’s busy, so she left me to fend for myself and my guests ! Is this a joke? This restaurant served us food from the frozen section at IGA. I ordered the “Matcha Chicken with Mango... Rice” and the mango tasted like it was taken directly out of a frozen fruit bag. The rice was stale and drenched in Canola oiland I could barely swallow the chicken it was so dry. I have a feeling this restaurant doesn’t have a license to serve food :|Very strange experience. I recommend to anyone looking for a Twilight Zone experience! JK! Never go here!! Read more
