Reviews for Pâtisserie Rhubarbe in Montréal, QC
So so good!! The pastries were so light and yet so flavourful. Loved every bite and went a second time during my visit. Really... good butter croissant as well. Read more
I'm disappointed they removed dine in. Else that cake and pastry spot is quite refined and great. Offering a variety of great... cakes, decent coffee and passing grade pastries. Their greatest cake surely is their étagé which is always a home runregardless of wtv ingredients they use. I advise to call in advance to book your full cake if you have an event coming. Thesego quick. Else they can still pack a few pieces if cakes together. Read more
Absolutely loved the Cashew and grape cake! I was skeptical of the grape flavor as usually bakeries tend to use artificial... syrups that taste like cough medicine - but boy, were we pleasantly surprised. Well balanced flavors, great texture and the bestpart was the perfect sweetness. Not overly sweet. It was a birthday cake, and between the two of us we planned on keeping thecake through the weekend. 5 mins in, and this is what's left. Great job, chef! Strongly recommended, and will be back soon! Really wanted to love this place, but every time I go there, they barely have any thing available to buy! I had to go three... times to even managed to get a sweet pastry (which was good but nothing amazing) The service is also very nonchalant, not veryinviting to say the least. Also, the website is inaccessible with mobile, so it’s difficult to even know what products theyhave available to order. All in all, a disappointing experience that doesn’t make me want to return. The milles feuille is a legend. It’s crunchy and yet melts in your mouth. The sourness of lemon tart is spot on. The cream on... top has just the right firmness and it’s oh so flavourful. I feel privileged to have tried these masterpieces. Read more
This place has been on my hit list since it first opened. I've started over the years to I got a real sweet tooth and real... appreciation for pastries of all kinds. While I was here at Rhubarbe I had to make the most of it, only because it's so farfrom me that I needed to try as many of the things as I possibly could haha Here is what I got in order of my favourite toleast favorites, and I want to state for the record, that even tho it was MY least favorite, they are still GREAT pastries justnot my favourite amounts the bunch but I would get them all again! ???? First we have the seabuckthorn cheesecake which Ididn't think at all would be my favorite but it was. Very light and airy, definitely a show stopper for me. Next we have thepistachio-grapefruit dacquoise which I thought would be my number one fav but it was so close, I gave it the number 2 spot onlycuz for me it missed that punch but still wow! Loved all the textures in this one, for sure an amazing bite on every forkfull. If you like chocolate-pear then this is definitely the one to choose. Very decadent without being very heavy andeverything mixed very well. How they got 10 layers in this citrus-olive oil étagé pastry I'll never know, very unique andpacked a great bunch of citrus in each mouthful without it being overwhelming. The eclair with coffee-cardamom-marmelade wasgood, love the flavour profiles really worked well The Lemon tart although a classic, simple but delicious never the less butI've had it all before when it comes to lemon tarts haha. All in all an amazing place to come visite if you haven't already andget some great desserts for take out! ?? Read more
