My parents were visiting from Calgary and I took them here for dinner because of their Google rating (and our first choice was... closed). It was clear that the restaurant had just opened because there were tables and chairs everywhere but no decor. It wasalso clear that our hostess/server was inexperienced at hosting/serving. First, we were told that they could not accomodate 3as they only had tables for 2. She only sat us after asking to put 2 tables together. When ordering, we were told that we couldnot order particular items because it was "too busy" or "it would be too spicy for us". How dare you! We won't be coming back. Read more

MUST GO PLACE IN MONTREAL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. One of the finest authentic South Indian cuisine I had in Canada. Best dosa... ever. Sambhar and coconut chutney were way beyond the expectations. We ordered rava masala, coriander masala, mysore masaladosa. The owner and chef met us outside of the place when we were going out and he asked about the honest reviews and It waspleasure talking to the humble person and awesome chef. Read more

It's an amazing restaurant for Indian cuisine, especially if you are craving south Indian food. Ever since moving to Montreal I... have been looking for place to eat dosa and idli, and this place serves amazing Masala dosa and sambar idli. It tastes exactlyhow it is back in India. Full 5/5 ratings ????? And it is very close to Concordia University downtown Campus, so it is a mustvisit for Indian students studying in SGW Campus. Read more

Not only was the food amazing but what surprised me was it's taste... The dosa, the sambhar, thechutney... Everything tasted just perfect, exactly like we have in India! Being in Canada since a long time and trying to find agood Indian restaurant that would remind of home, who would have thought this little cozy place in Montreal would be the place Ihad been looking for? Very poor service and oily foods. We waited for more than 1 hour to know they haven?t even started cooking. Update: Well there... is no option to respond to the owner and hence updating. I am more than happy to elaborate the end to end service wereceived. We didn?t walk in 2.29. The reservation was at 2 pm and we were seated at 2.05 pm. No one came in to take order for15 mins - not even a water or menu card. Then when ordered, they took 25 mins (after asking) to give us the idli and sambarrice. Then there was no response for rest of the order. Around 3 pm when we checked again, they gave us the oily chili paneerwithout any breads. Meanwhile chili paneer became cold and when we looked at it, it was way oily (as posted in the pic). Afterrepeated follow ups they finally replaced it with Shahi paneer (while the breads became cold). Dear owner, I work on customerfacing business and I do strive to provide a quality product and service. However you don?t seem to hear out the issues fromyour customers and understand the root causes. First of all you need to be apologetic of the product and service you provided.Instead you seem to justifying the product and service. I agree that there is shortage of labor - but that does not mean youcould provide a bad product and worst service. 2 other customers who were seated near us were unhappy and we decided to writethis review. If this type of food and service continues, more to come here and complain. Good luck. Read more

I?ve tried really good south indian restaurants in GTA and I know what good stuff is. This restaurant was okay(Not really good)... in their own food. Idli?s were dry, we tried paneer65(Weird dish name there) and whole paneer was dry and we had hard timechewing it. Cauliflower manchurian was good. Dosa was also okay. Please refer to new price photos as the one you will find wasold one and new one has great amount if price increment so refer to the prices before going there directly. I will attach ithere. The closest to Andhra/Telangana food you can get in Montreal! In fact this place would feel just as popular in Hyderabad. The... taste, quality, quantity, spice, and service is spot on. The chutneys with the dosa were fresh and tasty especially the coconutchutney and allam (ginger) chutney. Don't go home without trying the gongura dishes (Chicken or Mutton), and the Mutton biryanihad such succulent pieces of mutton - you've be left wanting for more. The consistency and quality of each of the servings wassuper rich. They have some neat spread of other South Indian and regular Indian dishes, drinks, and desserts. My craving forAndhra food in Montreal is now satisfied - you have my dollars! Read more
