I had the pleasure of experiencing Nopalito while I was visiting friends in Montreal. As it turned out I was staying on... Boulevard St Laurent and I was walking by Nopalito every day without realizing it was a vegan gem. Eventually I went on theHappy Cow app and discovered that it was waiting for me. I originally planned on going to casa Kaizen but it was closed. Thisproved to be fortuitous as I tried Nopalito. It was still relatively early in the day and I was in the exploring mood. I had agreat conversation with the staff member who was working there while preparing my sandwich. The staff was friendly and it wasclear that they were passionate about making and serving good food. They also gave me some advice on other vegan restaurants tocheck out. It took all my willpower I had not to devour the sandwich immediately, rather I walked to a bench that was on theedge of the Mcgill campus. I was glad I had the box as no two pieces of bread could contain the fillings of this colossalsandwich. By the time I sunk my teeth in it, I knew I was eating a miracle. Authentic to it's Mexican roots, this sandwich wasrico. After a few minutes I was able to get through the behemoth as well as the toppings that fell into the box during my bites.Napkins were necessary as it was a delicious mess. My only regret about Montreal was that I ate at Nopalito one time. With thatbeing said, it just means I have a good reason to come back. Read more

My friend and I ordered la torta Doña, per the recommendation of the staff, who was lovely by the way. It looked good and I had... high expectations for Nopalito because I am a HUGE fan of Sushi Momo. Unfortunately, this sandwich absolutely did not meetexpectations. We were extremely disappointed with the flavors, which clashed with each other. The vegan feta was off and themole sauce seemed to throw off the whole dish on its own. What?s more is that we shared with our friend who is allergic topeanuts and had an allergic reaction to something in the sandwich even though there was no mention of peanuts in any of thesandwich ingredients? I can?t speak for any of the other menu items, but I was very disappointed with la doña. With a millionother amazing options for vegan food in Montreal, I can?t say that I?ll be coming back here nor recommending it to anyone. Read more

HYGIENE ALERT ???? Please wash your hands before making the sandwiches, Especially if you are going to use the POS station,... take our money, then do the sandwiches with no gloves on. I tried the ?La Dona?. It was okay. Nothing too special. The flavourof Onion was the most potent in it. Very few avocados in there. Also I asked him to add some more, the guy there ignored myrequest. Personally, I wouldn?t go there. For hygiene purposes, I would not recommend it to anyone else. Read more

The sandwiches were good and surprisingly filling; I tried the Nopalito and Al Pastor. The sweet potato fries are the best I've... ever had anywhere--crisp and flavourful without being overly oily or sweet. Service was impeccable. Always happy to support alocal, vegan business! Read more

La llorona was very good, other ones were ok but not mind blowing. They have really good quality ingredients, but the price tag... is a bit high even for those. Read more
