I had their special four-course menu as part of Montreal à table last Sunday. It's a cozy byow restaurant with great service. I... enjoyed their braised mushroom starter and the sorbet as palate cleanser, but the rest of the course was underwhelming. Therisotto, despite being flavorful, was very undercooked and the cheese platter I got as my last course was just two pieces ofcheese :') Overall, I still enjoyed my night at Monsieur B and would return to give their usual menu a try. BYOB restaurant. Good to sit out patio. The ventilation inside is not good. Service is excellent. The menu has enough choice to... choose from. Food is average to good. Read more

Really excellent food (which it should be at these prices and portion sizes). Our servers, Hugo and Marie, were outstanding and... working extremely hard given the chronic short staffed situation of the service industry. Unfortunately, the air conditioningwas not anywhere close to the task of making the dining room comfortable, which detracted substantially from the quality of ourexperience there. I highly suggest going on a cooler day or making sure you get a seat on the patio. Also, as with allrestaurants these days, do not be in a hurry to go anywhere. Service is slow because the food is very complex and there is notenough staff in the industry generally. With the above caveats in mind, this is highly recommended. Read more

Food was ok but overpriced. For 55$ you don't expect to eat a lot, the portion was really small, not even served with fries or... rice aside. But the service was really nice and polite. The place was small and noisy so don't choose it for a romantic dinnerin two unless you don't bother yelling at each other. Also I guess they need to improve ventilation. It was really hot insideand I smelled like I was eating in a fast food restaurant. Read more

Before reserving, I spoke to 3 different staff member who confirmed the place is baby friendly. Upon arriving, I realized it... wasn't in fact baby friendly because there was no baby set-up and the personnel there confirmed it wasn't baby friendly. I thenasked if we could at least bring a chair for the baby so she would be at table-level (instead of being placed on the floor, inher carriage). The personnel then proceeded explaining "this is the first thing we confirm with clients, it is to ask them ifthere is a baby because we do not accommodate baby" and left. I mean, you couldn't even bring an extra chair, when I hadconfirmed to already 3 staff that I needed an extra spot for a baby ?! This staff was straight up condescending. Thank god theparents were okay with the baby being placed on the floor in her carriage. Also, although the waiter/waitress might sayotherwise, the items on la table d'hôte (7 or 6 course menu) are tapa-sized/one bite size. If you're hungry hungry, you shouldget more items from the menu or eat a bit before or grab fast-food after, like us. Overall, I would not recommend this placebecause 1) the personnel is condescending, and 2) for the $$ you pay, the food isn't great. I had a soup that legit tasted likewashed out / diluted tea ?? Save your money and go somewhere where staff will be more respectful. Read more

Food was tasty, but lacked a personal touch. Clearly they are taking there COVID loss on the clients now. Ratio quantity: price... is terrible. Very small portions for price. I definitely wouldn't return. Read more

A+ for the service and the warm welcome. We had the 6 course meal and every bite was a delight. Service was quick ( 2 hours) and... for that price, it's worth it! The decor was cozy and you have a nice view of the sector. Will recommend to anyone that lovesthe byow formula and a good time. Read more
