Nothing that I could fault: a superb steak frites, the steak cooked exactly to the requested doneness, a sauce that has been... perfected, all of that using quality ingredients, a great sense of seasoning and heat control, the right temperature, theprecise textures (the fundamentals, that\'s the hardest part of cooking because many kitchen brigades do not master them aswell as they should, but here, they are well mastered and I care about that!) , and to top it off, a superb service. Sometimes,the simple things done this well...are all we need! Ps: I was upset when L\'Entrecôte Saint-Jean (which this restaurant didinspire themselves from) closed their doors in Mtl (I used to go there once a month), but now I am happy again. Read more

Went to Mignon a week ago and the service and the food was amazing! The menu is super simple and straight to the point! Amazing spot... picking up the torch from the shuttered L\'Entrecote St. Jean. I hit this place up at around 9pm on a Saturday,... and sat at the bar. Very chill vibe and good sized crowd inside and outside. Daily specials included a fois gras/beignet app,which was incredible. Soup was a very creamy potato, and was to die for! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the shoestringfries were great. The signature sauce was amazing on both the steak and the fries. The host and bartender bought me a shot asthe night was winding down. Altogether a great experience, great food, and terrific vibe. Highly recommend! Read more
