Reviews for Mesón in Montréal, QC
We had reservations for 2 on a Saturday night. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. Street parking wasn't an issue and... the restaurant was easy to find. We sat by the open window and found the ambiance to be really pleasant. The menu was not toobig and had a good variety to choose from. We got many different plates and shared them all. They were out of the croquetaswhich we wanted to try. The ribs were so tender and just fell off the bone. Not one bit dry. Our favorite was the tartar de resand the fries. It took a bit of time to get our bill and pay, but other than that, the meals were well spaced out and we didn'tfeel rushed. We would definitely consider coming back here again, and hopefully we'll get to try the croquetas. Read more

After a VERY bad experience with Tapeo years ago, we decided to finally give a chance to this restaurant by the same owners.... We're glad we did, because the service was superb and the food was amazing. The Paella is the real deal and the "Pulpo a laGallega" is highly recommended. Will go back soon to try other dishes. We came for Sunday brunch and we got a table right away, which was a lovely surprise. The waiters were very friendly and... cheerful. The food was pretty good, although a bit pricey. The cocktails are strong so they are worth their money for sure ?? Read more
We walked in for seats and were promptly seated at a table that was empty. The service was excellent. They were busy but our... server was attentive on a Saturday night. The food also was AMAZING. We started with the Trout Gravlax with Caviar, a roastedCauliflower and the paella. Our lovely server also helped guide us through the beautiful list of Spanish wines. All in all -highly recommend! boring boring boring brunch in the town! Probably they service good dinner but not brunch for sure. First I didn?t understand... why the waitress asked us twice if I need anything to drink even we were clearly told her water is fine. I feel little bitpushy. Second when I made the order I told her what I want exactly, she asked me if I want to twice the order. After myquestions mark she said if we would like share our order. NOOOO! My friend will order also!!!! Do you think we will get a smallmeal for two people? I am not sure should I try dinner menu anymore Read more

A modern oasis of Spanish food in the idyllic residential district of Villeray (north of Mile-Ex). Our expectations were low... (not bad just didn't know what to expect) and we were thorough awed at the end. The ambiance is great...dark red and brown huespermeate the eatery while the a hum of chit-chat and action is palpable it is not overbearing. Three of us shared all...fourappetizers (Asado Cauliflower, Endive Salad, Camarones, Romesco and Serrano Ham Croquettes) and two mains (Fideuaand Paella).Everything was really wonderful, tasty but not extreme (and note I am not normally a fan of Spanish food but this was reallygood). I would highly recommend the Fideua...served similarly to Paella but with pasta instead of rice and in more of a creamsauce than tomato base. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommend! NOTE: This is a great date night (evenfirst date) place...not too expensive with plenty of places to walk around to after. Read more
