We have been to Montreal a few times and are originally from the NYC are. This is by far the best place for breakfast or... lunch. High end eats with culinary flare, fresh ingredients, gourmet coffees and the nicest staff. We will be returning. Read more
We had the maman sandwich, papa bowl and salmon tartine. The vibe was amazing m and the food portion was just right. I expected... longer wait time but we were seated right away. The cold brew was totally my style, no taste of diluted coffee. Even the platesand the cups were so cute. The servers were so nice and smiley. « Maman » has become one of my top 5 restaurants in Montreal! We gave their brunch menu a try, the pain perdu was artfully... presented on a blue contrasting plate, the mascarpone sauce had subtle hints of espresso which combined well with the choice ofbread and the refreshing assortment of summer fruits. The bread remained crunchy on its outside layer, while absorbing the richflavours from the butter and the sauce! Overall extremely impressive palette of flavours and use of textures. The setting wasartsy and open spaced. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Thankfully they had an exterior patio to enjoy the warmsummer sunshine! My only critique, is that the chairs were a little uncomfortable and could benefit from cushioning! Overallvery impressive restaurant, will definitely come back and try other items on the menu!
