Excellent meal, especially if you prefer lighter fare with a focus on beautiful and seasonal produce! We loved the chanterelles... with sweet corn and grapes in a delicious beurre blanc type sauce, heirloom tomato salad with crispy buckwheat and lovage (witha great subtle sauce), green beans with tonnato sauce (much better than expected), radishes with smoked eel dip (would eat on abagel every day) and the madeleines with limoncello cream (warm and light as air). The service was pleasant and knowledgeableeven though they were busy. They were also very helpful with the wine choices for people like us that needed help with it. Itwas probably one of the best meals we've had on a vacation. If you are a tourist like we were, definitely take a stroll throughJean Talon or another farmer's market first to whet your appetite and then head over for a lovely meal! Read more
Such an amazing experience at this restaurant. My friend and I had no idea what was on their menu, so we asked them to surprise... us, and we were delighted to say the least. Our favourite dish was the one with mushrooms with corn as it was just a flavourexplosion. I would say with the exception of the tuna dish, everything else exceeded our expectations. Vin Papillon is by far an extraordinarily culinary experience you must try! Every aspect of this restaurant was amazing. The... service was phenomenal, every aspect from clearing plates to coursing out the meal felt seamless. Our server Fanni also made ourtime there great. She had wonderful food and wine recommendations, and was overall an amazing, kind, genuine server who providedthe best service I?ve ever experienced.
