Very good service and generous plates. The filet mignon and white beans purée was super tasty. Would definitely come back.

Great set menus at MTLatable for $55/person. Personal favorite are the rabbit pie with fois gras, mackerel, and the skate wing.... The portion was generous than expected. Every dish is flavorful and balanced. Seafood dishes were all perfectlyexecuted. Desserts were ok. A bit disappointed that the baba was dry and the syrup was too sweet. Cream brûlée was quite niceand very light. Service was ok considering the place was packed last night. However, the seating was a bit crowded. It getsquite noisy. Read more

Le Boulevardier Amile took care of us for the evening and I am so grateful to him for his knowledge of the dishes, their... components and wine pairings. My sister and brother-in-law got a Bordeaux to complement their meal and we tried a lovely winefrom Alsace - a blended wine of white grape varieties from Alsace - Ramène tes Copains, described as harmonious, fresh andfruity. To start we had 3 of the lobster and scallop carpaccio and one rabbit pie. Old-fashioned, oat crust rabbit pie withpistachios and foie gras. It was served cold and when I first saw that the crust was hard and, dare I say congealed, I thought Iordered unfortunately but the chef knew exactly what he wanted and it was superb!!! The texture of the crust challenging me tobegin with made me appreciate the foie gras aspect with the hardened crust even more. The rabbit was perfectly cooked andeverything together was so soul satisfying - Like when Ego is served the ratatouille at Gusteau's. The more I ate it I realizedit was exactly the way it had to be and I should like to eat it every day. The rest of the table ordered the Scallop andlobster carpaccio, smoked garlic confit, asparagus heads and vanilla honey vinaigrette. I'm not sure why so many of the seafoodoptions this time round with MTL a Table have vanilla included. It seems like sweet on-top of sweet to excess. Also didn'treally notice the smoked garlic confit - if there was more of it to balance out the natural sweetness of the shellfish with theadded vanilla (which I know was probably more an olfactory sweetness, instead of an actual sweetness) I might have enjoyed itmore. The texture of both the lobster and the scallops was perfect, and the asparagus, not overcooked or overdone. For the mainthere were 2 orders of the Duck magret cooked at 51 ?C, coated with maple syrup, glazed turnips and grilled salsifies. It wasdelicious, perfectly cooked, not overly sweet and paired wonderfully with the Bordeaux. The skate cooked at low Read more

A pleasant dining experience, as has always been the case when I've visited. The staff is always very friendly and... accommodating, with meals that appeal to both the visual and the palate. My guest's tuna and my magret were on point andflavourful. Read more

Ordered from my hotel room. Burger, fish and chips, onion soup. Burger was raw (see picture), fish and chip is the cheapest... and saddest thing you will ever see and the onion soup did not contain any pieces of onions amd they forgot the cheese (it alsohad 0 taste, absolutely no seasoning). The good part is that they refunded the onion soup and recooked a new burger. They gaveus the saddest looking fruit salad as an excuse. This is hospital food grade. Please do not eat here (or maybe I was justunlucky). At least the hotel rooms are good. I asked if the food brought in the hotel rooms are prepared by the same chef asthe restaurant and they said yes. Read more

I was looking for a peaceful, quiet place with service to have breakfast before an exam at McGill, and most places were... self-service, and loud. I had an intuition about this place, and I wasn't wrong! The space is beautiful, plays wonderful Jazzmusic, and has lots of space. It is somehow pricey, but for me, to pay $10 extra for a breakfast in order to enjoy theatmosphere, the peace, and the excellent quality of every single ingredient is worth it! I highly recommend it. I will be backone evening to see what they have in stock for cocktails time. I had the continental breakfast, and it was PERFECT: granola, yogurt, fresh fruits, a mix of toasted nuts and seeds, a croissant, and a beautiful home-made preserve. The breakfast comes withone hot drink, and juice and the price is $22. I did not need a lunch and could easily survive my 4-hours exam on its fuel.Highly recommended! The staff was friendly, but some of them were in training, so it wasn't entirely perfect. That did notdiminish in any way a wonderful experience. Read more

From the time I ascended the stairs, to after I paid the bill, I felt as if I was in another country. The mirrors on the... ceiling, the music, the incredibly friendly staff, and the beautiful view coalesce to take you to Europe without having to leaveCanada. The food borders on art, and the flavours are vivid without overwhelming the palate. I would highly recommend thisrestaurant as part of the authentic Montreal experience. Read more
