Terrible experience. Went here on 16 Dec 2019 before noon. The cashier was very rude. I tried to order a hot chocolate in French... and then English. The cashier pretended that she could not understand the order in either language. Even though she spoke bothfluently? Very condescending and snobby. When she finally made my drink, she literally put a spoonful of cinnamon on top, andhanded it to me with the drink spilling over the sides. When I tried to drink it I choked on the cinnamon. Took ten minutes toscrape the toppings off so it would stop spilling everywhere. Was a hassle for her to give me a lid. Horrible!! Read more

Very nice and fresh sandwiches (v. good bread) for a reasonable price. I eat downtown a lot and I find most places have really... dry and nasty sandwiches with gross bread. These were NOT that. Read more

I use to eat here everyday for lunch and enjoyed the food. Everyday I go inside the cashier never smiles, never says please or... Thank you just takes my money With attitude. After spending so much money I finally got tired of it!! I waited 20 minutes toconsulted with a manager. After telling him about his rude employees he decides to argue with me over exchanging an expireddrink!! I will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE!! I will be taking this to the coorprate office. Thecashier then insulted my race after I was walking out! Definitely a law suit coming their way Read more

Good spot to have a last minute meeting if you're in the neighborhood. Coffee is ok.

The Prep is a convenient stop with reasonably priced food. If you want your sandwich grilled however, it will be destroyed. You... will receive a dissected sandwich corpse. This happens more often than not. They have a beautiful espresso machine butunfortunately the coffee is hit or miss depending on who is making it. They changed some staff recently and this has resulted ina drop in service quality. I would suggest some barrista training for their staff. (FYI, new barrista, an allonge is not at allthe same as an americano) For good coffee, look to Pikolo up the street or Toi&Moi inside the Fou D'Ici at the rear (bettercroissants too). The Benelux Pub up the street also makes a better coffee. -------- Dec 2013 Edit : They seem to have fixed thedestroyed sandwich problem, and the problematic staff members seem to be gone. New staff is very nice. Coffee is still okay, notexceptionnal, but still much better than starbucks or the other large chains. I still think the coffee is better at the otherplaces I mentionned. I'm a long time employee of Domtar and I've seen a lot of staff come and go but the new employees have made all the difference.... Before the wait times were atrocious,10minutes just to get a medium coffee. A few months ago I would order breakfast and I'd belucky if they got the order correct. The new staff has made such a difference, it's become enjoyable to go down on my breaks andI don't have to worry about wait times anymore They've also recently switched their coffee to fair trade which is a big plus inmy books.
