We tried their breakfast on a Sunday morning. Of course the restaurant itself has a very high-end look. The service was also... great but the breakfast menu was both expensive and limited in terms of options. Did a google search to find a nice restaurant for dinner while on vacation in Montreal for my birthday. Simply designed French restaurant inside the Hotel Birks. Reasonably priced for the cuisine. Only reason for 4 stars is the wait... time was a bit long for the food. The overall quality and taste of all the dishes was really good. Shared the sweet potatognocchi, which was pretty creative and surprisingly better than expected. Seafood risotto had a generous portion of seafood. Codwas seasoned nicely with a nice salad accompaniment. Flank steak was good, and the fries were cooked superb. Home made muffin and home made smoke salmon are perfect for the egg Benedict. My mimosa is with fresh orange juice, but there is... no fresh pressed orange juice for brunch. A simply fantastic meal! From the food to the drinks, to the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, this was an incredible... dining experience. I can highly recommend the trout carpaccio, duck confit, seafood risotto, and lemon or chocolate dessert.However you will be happy with any of the desserts made in house by the pastry chef!
